Kunitomo Ikkansai kamisori, a pair that Alex Gilmore brought back from Japan years ago. Ikkansai was a gunmaker in the 1800s, and may have made telescopes too. These are probably quite a bit later, I’d guess early 20th century, probably before WW1. So the name could have been used by his descendants, or it could have evolved into a shop name with little to do with the original smith or his family, Just as Iwasaki razors are not made by any of the Iwasakis today. Wonderful kami specimens Steve! Blood on Steel is a great scent. I just shaved with Tsuka which is supposedly the same iteration as BoS, but they are different. To my nose, the Blood on Steel is more sweeter than Tsuka.
