Same Lovely Goo shave tomorrow as today....then back to soaps for a week or so.

 

DE SOTD, February 16th 2023

Razor : Yaqi Flipside dual comb with a Yaqi Hexahedral brass chrome coated handle- Mfg 2020>, mid aggressive , well built and chrome applied is of good quality and finish, brass handle is heavier than I like but beautiful dot design(They have a Aluminum version also), won this last year in live raffle. Excellent enjoyable shave this morning even half a sleep.
Blade : Gillette Polsilver SI(2) sharp & smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap :Ach Brito Lavanda cream- nice mild lavender mint scent 3.5-4/10 with excellent lather qualities. This cream is appreciated more as used for a quality product it is IMO.
Brush : Yaqi "Viper" 24mm boar bristle, excellent lather generator, soft split end bristle hairs, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ach Brito Lavanda with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Yaqi Hexahedral flipside with a Polsilver SI.

Yaqi Metal Faux Horse - MWF - AC Clone/Proline-P #5 - Superdrug Forest Fresh - Bowling Green EDT

I am now working my way through my box of AC type shavettes. I am afraid I bought a few of the clones when they originally became available a few years back. This one gave a very nice shave but I think would benefit from the use of a Super Pro to give a little more blade exposure. Still BBS...but I am not sure how long it will stay that way!

I’m in love with this Yaqi Barber Pole - it’s not only a beautiful looking brush, it’s such an awesome lather maker. It whipped up such fantastic lather from Fernando’s magnificent Vintage Spice soap which is a tallow based treasure that has the EXACT same delightful scent as the original Shulton Old Spice soap that was sadly discontinued long ago. The lather is so thick, rich, as well as protective, the slickness is terrific, and it leaves my skin feeling like it’s been born again. The Aveeno moisturizer is unscented so it doesn’t ruin the beautiful scent of the soap or the matching aftershave which never stings or burns because it’s witch hazel based. My Canadian Tech is such a fantastic DE - it’s mild but it always gives me such dynamite shaves. I did three passes and I ended up mega BBS!
