It's simply Incredulous! I made a Stirling order and it made a stop in Puerto Rico. I still haven't received my stuff. Usually, it takes 2 days to receive my order from Stirling. Here is the tracking history of my package:

    Good afternoon.

    1959 Gillette Fatboy ( setting 6 )
Gillette Wilkinson Sword DE Blade (4th use)
Heritage Collection C-Mon Replica Super HD Badger Brush
    Razorock XX SS
    Stirling Frankincense and Myrrh AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Beard Growth: 24 hrs

    20230217_170426.jpg

Today is the 7th and final Fatboy shave this month in partially keeping 5he Fatboy February theme. I have to say that I really enjoyed my 7 shaves.
I decided for the first time to do the froth method using my C-Mon Brush. Despite this brush being a latherhog, I have gotten great lathers with it once I learned how to use it. However, I got a great lather and it was so easy using the froth method that I will be using it whenever I reach for this brush. I had enough lather for at least 4 passes.
Razorock XX is an easy soap to lather and it provides a nice cushion in conjunction with the slickness for me. It has a clean and neutral scent so that any aftershave will work. That's why I chose the Stirling Frankincense and Myrrh aftershave. What better way to use this aftershave since I no longer have the matching soap.

After 4 shaves, I must say that this Gillette Wilkinson Sword Saloon Pack Blade got a thumbs up from me. I am hoping the rest of these blades are just as good.. I did an errorless 3 pass shave for a BBS result. The alum did not give me any feedback, but the Stirling Frankincense and Myrrh aftershave provided a little burn. All in all, this was a super shave. Take care.

    Shaving Recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/ Asda Tingly Mint & Tea Tree Shower Gel.

    Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face & head.
Pears with Lemon Flower Extracts Transparent Bar Soap.
    Brush: Fine 24mm Synthetic.
    Face & Head Lather.
Lather: Ach Brito Mogno Shaving soap.
Razor: Merkur 37C Slant. (Face) - Statum Platinum Chrome. (D1)
    Razor: Parker InjRzr. (Head/Dome) (Settings) 4-wtg. 4-xtg/atg.+pick-ups. - Personna Injector PTFE. (D3)

    Post:
Cold water face & head wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face & Head Rinse./Alum Rub. / Cold Water Face & Head Rinse. Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Nivea Men Replenishing PSB./Milton Lloyd The Man Cobalt EdT.

A new shave set up to start the weekend...Maiden shave with the Statum Platinum Chrome, another blade that was kindly sent to me by a fellow member of TSR forum (UK), along with the Ninja Stainless.
The verdict?..WOW! The Statum Platinum Chrome are excellent, which my mature rhino skin type liked and paired together with the dependable Merkur 37C slant wonderfully. The characteristics of the SPC feel like an hybrid of the Treet 7 Days Platinum/Dorco prime platinum the smoothness of the Dorco PP with the assertiveness of the Treet 7-DP.

Another wonderfully smooth efficient blade that I've instantly liked after the first shave.

They have made an instant good impression on me, that i will be breaking my "No Buy Shaving Restraint" and place an order for some later today on Ebay as a very early birthday present to myself. Another fantastic sub-continent blade which will be added to my increasingly growing sub-continent DE blade collection.

I will pair them together with my other razors in future shaves to see if I get the same results I've had with my 37C slant shaving results.

After the first pass with them i knew they were suited to my skin type, feeling smooth & efficient.
I tend to like platinum, chrome, & teflon coated blades as I tend to find after the first shave they feel noticeably smoother. However, this could also be yours truly familiarizing to the blade in question.
I've done some research on Platinum/Chrome coated blades and it states that Chrome blades have less chromium in them than Stainless Steel blades, but since i personally only I'm using the blades for a 2-4 shaves max it doesn't make a huge difference since neither of them is going to rust in a short space of time.

As always, wet shaving soft/hardware is always a very subjective topic. YMMV.

A close comfortable face and head shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small squirts of Milton Lloyd The Man Cobalt EdT to the chest & pulse points.

My face & precious swede are feeling super smooth & smelling divine. ;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.

Not the best of my shaves, but I'll take it. Fine loading effort onto the Jayaruh brush with the Razorock XXX soap. Great job on the cheeks&sideburns, as well as South Porcupine(chin). 2 cuts happened at N. Porcupine., but otherwise OK. Jawline fine. A scary cut down at West Cactus-someone put a speedbump there just as I was approaching the area. Couldn't avoid it. The Pinaud Clubman "BREEN"(brown and green)A.S. calmed down the major cut, but didn't solve it. I bet Bill Neumann would have solved it. Aaaah, too late. 3 cuts, no Knicks, and 1 polka-dot. The Breen Special Reserve does have the same scent as always, just the different appearance. I'll have to make a serious reduction to Fairly Outstanding for this morning's shave.

    SE Shave # 310

    Rating: 5 / 5

Razor: Schick - Injector Type G
    Blade: Persona Injector
Brush: Sawdust Creation Studio Old Cahaba
Lather: Wholly Kaw King of Oud
Aftershave: Wholly Kaw King of Oud
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

Technically this shave occurred Friday evening before our 20+ hour drive to Florida. I just felt that I wanted to be relatively clean shaven for my arrival. The Schick Type G easily took care of the little stubble that appeared following Friday morning’s shave.

We have arrived safely. The warmer weather feels nice. Hope you all are enjoying your Saturday.

Sorry about the cut. Stop it . Breen? You have some interesting descriptors. I did enjoy the RR XXXwhen I did have it in the den. It is very similar to Stirling’s Piacenza.

    Good afternoon.

    Shavette Shave # 437
    Parker SRB
Shaverboy 1/2 DE Blade (3rd and 4th uses)
    Hembree/ Maggard Timberwolf Brush
    Cella SS
    Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Beard Growth: 23 hrs
    Dome Growth: 2 days

    20230218_171101.jpg

It's good to have an open blade shave once again. Everything went well. Cella just flat out performs with the slickness and easy lathering. Danny's brush is very soft, but it makes a great lather.
Yes, you read it right! I did a face shave and a very rare headshave with a shavette. I think it's about a year and a half or longer since I used an open blade on my dome. Three passes on my face and 1 pass on me dome and got nice and smooth results. I have to admit that I had to touch up the left back of my head with my Mühle R102. It's been so long since I hit that area with an open blade that I played it safe. Lol! I know that I could have gotten that last bit, but I figured let me win this round since it's been a long time.

Anyway, there wasn't any feedback from the alum. Splashed on the AV to end this nice session. It was good to keep my open blade skills up to snuff by doing this headshave. I guess I will have to do straight/shavette headshaves a little more frequently. Maybe once every 2 months. Lol! Take care.
