I thought Kent just made hair-grooming stuff. (That is, just combs and brushes).

Sunday Schick shave, February 19th 2023

Razor : Schick E2 injector, Canadian variant- Mfg 1930s-40s, well made, light weight(1 OZ), easy to work the face + a joy to use this morning.
Blade : Personna SS PTFE(4) sharp and smooth with excellent longevity.
Soap : Taylor of old bond street Sandal wood (TOBS)- nice masculine herbal scented sandal wood(6-7/10) with excellent lather qualities. This scent lasts on the skin for some time also.
Brush : Yaqi "Casino clubs" 26mm timber wolf synthetic- Excellent lather generator, heavenly cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. Not a lather hog comparing other 24mm my other synthetic brushes.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Proraso red sandalwood with witch hazel + a dollop of Geo F Trumper sandal wood skin food.
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=[IMG] Excellent shave with my Schick E2 injector with a Personna coated blade.

Thanks, Guy @ram57 Sorry it took so long to reply.
The soap is of the same caliber as all Ethos soaps. The Bay Rum is a beautiful, albeit weakish scent. I talked to Frank about it and even said I would pay more for a soap with a stronger scent profile. I'll use it because a) it's a damn fine soap and b) the scent is a wonderful Bay Rum. If you want a sample, PM me.

They were/are also known for their Shaving brushes. They still do some boar but all other shaving brushes are now synthetic. They have a shaving cream and their soap is re badged Mitchells Wool Fat.

Thanks. I agree. This medium version is actually very efficient once you find the right angle.

My first brush, some 40 years ago, was a Kent boar bristle. It lasted me a long time.

I found a place to order another Stephan Bay Rum, when the time comes....WB Barber&Co. The W stands for Williamsport. Dunno about the B.
