    Straight, DE, SE, wedge whatever.

Rarity is all that matters, price is of course secondary.

Here is the rarest razor I own.

A 1900's Henckle Rapide wedge. A complete set with blades and tins for the razor and blades. Stropping handle too.

I have only seen 2 sets complete in this form. One I have and the other was still on Ebay months ago for $500. I have seen the later versions in wood cases here and there, but not this one.

    Great idea for a thread:)

I am not sure what my rarest razor is. Most likely my chrome toggle or maybe the V3 superspeed I just got. I have two gold superspeeds coming to me and I have heard they are probably rarer than a 195 prototype.

Interesting. The V3 is upside down with respect to the RegUS stamp. Is that normal? I never noticed that on any of my razors before.

V3 is the only one that has that upside down-ness... unless you find one that is really a one off oops.

As far as I know, all V3's have it that way.

Not mine. I think Scotty's is less common, these were prototypes I believe.

My rarest razor would probably be my "American Rocket", I've still only seen one.

Wow, that's the first one I've seen that has it the right way lol.

Guess not... but of the 4 I've seen now 2 were one way 2 were the other. Maybe just a quality control issue while they worked the bugs out.

My guess on the upside down V3 versus right side up V3 is that the stamping was done as a separate step from the other stamping. The plates were probably loaded into the stamping machine without much attention to direction on occasion. Once the date codes were moved to the base of the plate along with the other stampings it probably became part of the same die.

Though probably not uber rare, I would have to go with my 1946 gold-plated Injector.

hey don't be sorry, I am happy I don't have RAD or I'd have no money at all considering my SC/SSAD.

I am just playing. I haven't actually tried one yet. You need to give the lady G a chance though.

I want to but I'm so paranoid that it is still too dirty even though I did a lot of cleaning.

You know, with 10 of us in this same boat, the rarity is somewhat reduced -- don't you think?

    Nahh........ ;)

I just found out my rarest razor is my HeadBlade Sport, Clear edition.

It never went into production and only a handful were ever made!

It would be one of these two, at least they are the oldest one I have. A 1907 single ring and an Ever Ready Lather Catcher, somewhere between 1905-08. So sayth the Gem Guru!
