  2. I always wondered how that happens. No pain, no sign of trouble, but there's blood at the end. What's up with that?
  3. Well, I can agree about the no pain, but the "Knick" was the sign of trouble. I guess it means you damage your skin, but not enough to cause bleeding(but you do see red). I'm a little puzzked by that development myself.

I am still on my quest to finish the Stirling Bergamot Lavender 1 oz sample. I think I may have 2 more shaves with it. Stirling never fails to provide a great lather. Did a 2 pass shave and got a near BBS shave without incident. I was going to wait tomorrow to do a headshave, but decided to go for it with the Mühle R102 ( not pictured ). The headshave went well and I am cueball smooth.
Alum feedback was minimal all around. Splashed on the Veg and feel refreshed. Take care.
  5. Schick E injectors are great little razors.

  6. Yes they are. I like the Schick blades a lot more than these Pellas. I am getting an Schick I1 Injector razor via the TSD Raffle. I assume that it will be a milder than my E3

    DE Shave # 452 - 3017 Weekdays - Proraso Aloe & Vitamin E

    Rating: 5 / 5

Razor: Merkur HD 39c “The Slegehammer”
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue
    Brush: RazoRock Plissoft Monster 26mm
Lather: Proraso Aloe and Vitamin E
    Aftershave: Floïd The Genuine
    Additional Care:
    Maggards Alum
    Thayer’s Witch Hazel - Original
Wednesday’s shave - The maiden voyage with the Merkur 39c. Right off the bat the heft of this razor is truly noticeable. The handle is longer than the 37c so it does take some getting use to. Not a big deal for this seasoned Merkur shaver, as I have had my 37c since the mid ‘90s. The resulting shave was extremely close even though the blade had some previous shaves on it. The blade has been binned. The next shave with the 39c will feature a new GSB blade.

  13. Thank you, Joe. Once you've got few shaves under your belt and adjusted to the additional weight & longer handle of the 39c you'll be rewarded with some sublime shaves. :happy088:

  18. I am geting better with my razors now and cutting myself less. This is why I decided to try the kami with a Professional blade. After almost a year and a half using the vintage razors, I think I have my face mapped now. Beard grows in ALL directions! So, I am now doing 3-pass shaves to get it how I like it. Nice and smooth. Very little irritation so, I am improving.

  19. The FaTip open-comb slant I've yet to try, I have the FaTip grande which i like.[/QUOTE]
Yes, I also have the Grande. I like all of my Fatip razors. Modern razors in the vintage style. If it ain't bbroke, don't fix it! LOL Multi-blade cart razors are ALL about profit. I get less irritation and better shaves with the vintage and the modern versions of the vintage.

  20. I know what you mean about longer handles. My Parker Semi-Slant came with a LONG handle so, I like to use it with my Razorock handle. Feels nice in the hand and I like the heavier handles.
