Thanks Herm. It is a good travel razor. I also classify it as a beginner's razor, but veteran wetshavers can appreciate it as well.

I'm real worried now about the hair that is developing on my cheeks. Ingrown??? Man, I sure hope not. Smack dab in th middle of each cheek. Terrible location for ingrown hairs, if that is the case. Anyway, my shave was quite good...middle round of the Bay Rum "team"(Jeeves soap and Stephan A.S.). I just wish I'd administered more soap over those nasty whiskers on the cheeks. Very good everywhere else. No cuts, Knicks, Polka-dots. Another healthy dose of the Stephan Bay Rum post-shave. Most Outstanding.

    Good afternoon.

    Straight Razor Shave #437
    10/8 Max Sprecher (77)
    Catie’s Bubbles Tuxedo Brush
    Stirling Bergamot Lavender SS
    Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Beard Growth: 24 hrs
    Headshave: 2 days

    Rockwell DE Blade (?)

My goals for this shave was to not draw any blood and finally use up the Bergamot Lavender soap. Failed the first part and I will get to an explanation later, but succeeded in the second part.
The Catie’s Bubbles Tuxedo Knot has some backbone and always makes a great lather. Originally, I was going to just do a face shave, but I wanted to finish this soap so adding the headshave was the way to do so. Obviously, I made heaps of lather to accomplish this feat.
I decided to bring out Max because it's been awhile since I use this razor. However, I am glad that I did because my 3 pass shave gave me a BBS result, but did get a miniscule weep on my last pass that was on my chin. Did 3 passes on my head for a cueball smooth shave. Alum feedback was very negligible on the nape and that was all she wrote.
Liberally splashed on the AQ to finish my shaves. Well, I was right that I was going to finish this soap by the end of February. The scent is nice and pleasant but I don't know if I would buy a tub of it. Take care.

Setup for after my shower tonight. Clean flannel sheets on the bed will feel really nice on this cold night. It's 15 degrees now.

    SRS # 841 - 3017 Weekdays - Proraso Aloe & Vitamin E

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: Union Cutlery Banty 9/16”
Brush: CRD Sky - O- Earth 26 mm Synthetic
Lather: Proraso Aloe and Vitamin E
    Aftershave: PAA Boomtown Bay Rum
    Additional Care:
    Maggards Alum
    Thayer’s Witch Hazel - Original
    Nivea Sensitive Balm

Another fabulous shave this morning. The 3017 Project is making a dent in some of my soaps. First Prairie Song and now the Proraso should catch up with the Edmund Fitzgerald by the second week of March. That will make two soaps down in 2023.

Three passes has left my face super smooth. Even with this late post, twelve hours post shave, the smoothness factor is still present.

I had a great final day in the Southern Villa. Road trip tomorrow, :angry017:. Have a nice evening gentlemen

    Greetings,

Another one of my eclectic shave set ups to start the weekend off with a superb start. Last week of my sub-continent blade focus. Finishing it off with my new firm favourite blade pairing it up with with the Parker 55SL making another wonderfully smooth efficient razor/blade duo.

Derby & Arko have become my go to soap choices for my head shaves. The slickness, protection & post shave feel that both of these humble soaps provide is excellent.

A close comfortable face and head shave with no errors to report. finishing the shave off with a few small squirts of Adidas Extreme Power EdT to the pulse points.

My face & precious swede are feeling super smooth & smelling divine. ;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.

    DE Shave # 453

    Rating: 5 / 5

Razor: Merkur HD 39c “The Slegehammer”
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue
    Brush: RazoRock Plissoft Monster 26mm

Another fine shave with the 39c. It definitely handles a little differently the the 37c. Regardless the results with both are outstanding.

Another warm day here at the Southern den. Unfortunately, we will be head north before the morning is out. Going from 80+ these past few days back to the 30s. :Animatedfrozensmily:

Hope you all have a great day gentlemen.

Closed out(for now)the Bay Rum team(Jeeves/Stephan). 2 passes. 2 Knicks, no cuts, no polka-dots. I'm swiftly learning not to take my cheeks for granted anymore. Misses there are quite embarrassing. I'm not saying I just zip through the cheeks, but it's time to be more careful. I should have done better around Ingrown Swamp down at Cactus. Elsewhere quite good except for the Knicks. Another nice round with the Stephan B.R. Very Outstanding this morning. .

I just wanted to have an easy open blade shave without de-oiling and stropping a straight. Also, I picked out one of my favorite soaps to shave my face. Did a pasty load on my Brush and started to facelather on my wet face. Kept adding water to the brush tips until I obtained a creamy, hydrated and slick lather.
Two pass shave without touchups or errors gave me a near BBS result. Alum and the matching aftershave didn't give me any stinging or zinging. Take care.
