Triple milled soaps are pretty much all I have left now.

I need to start blooming my soaps again. Thanks for the reminder.

After watching @Primotenore wielding his Cobra Classic while waxing poetically about the shave, I was inspired to break mine out this morning. After loading the MWF like is 90 past due and taking my time to develop a wonderful rich lather, I proceeded with the shave. The Snake delivered a wonderful smooth drama free shave as expected. I might dig out the Asylum RX for tomorrow's shave. I find it to be a much, much more aggressive razor.

    Hmmm…I counted just now.
    17 pucks/tubs/creams/sticks in the den rotation. 10 are 3x milled. I’m surprised I have 7 left that aren’t.

It was a no shave Saturday for me. So, on a whim, I splashed on some Midnight Stag aftershave for the first time. A big, hearty double splash, in fact.

    Repeated for emphasis...

    And did I mention?

    In summary...

It is, by the far, the strongest <anything> I've ever used. Unlike the soap, it lacked the hydrocarbon note (a good thing), but the wood fire scent came on like a freight train. After I had worn it for awhile, I asked my Bride for her opinion. An immediate "NO!" was her response. :sad024:

I rocked it most of the afternoon, and it continued to project. And project. I finally splashed on a generous amount of witch hazel to see if it would calm down. It was like kicking a hornet's nest and sticking around to see what would happen. :happy102:

I washed my face a couple of times and then splashed on more witch hazel and then some Isa Knox (a south Korean aftershave/skin food that was a gift from @Keithmax). I'm not sure how to describe Isa Knox other than it's like being in a rain forest. It's a very relaxing "nature" scent, so I apply it most nights. I really like the scent and face feel.

Anyway, I'm still catching whiffs of Midnight Stag (maybe the rain forest is on fire?), and my Bride just informed me that I will be washing my face again before bed. :happy097:

I need to re-think my application strategy. Can someone send me a very small eye-dropper? ;)

No I have not give the Feather Super Blades a try in the Classic.

I've been wanting a nice pair of dress shoes, so my Bride got me a pair of black Allen Edmonds Fifth Avenues. I tried them on today, and they fit perfectly. Yes, I'm the only hillbilly 'round these parts with such fancy kickers.

If I ever go on Opera tour with @Primotenore, I plan to load up with Midnight Stag and rock my new Fifth Avenues. Don't worry, I'm not gonna sing. He just needs someone to carry the tip jar.

Hmmm…maybe SWMBO is in the minority. I recommend a healthy dose of the splash for church tomorrow….perhaps you will get another opinion there.

My Bride IS the majority, by definition. :)

I just hope I can get this stuff washed off in time for church tomorrow. :p

Truer words have never been spoken.
SWMBO has only had 3 overtly negative opinions on any scents.
    1. Stirling Gentleman (“that smells like A$$, get rid of it”)
Result? outright banned. Moved on the soap and splash
    2. Clubman (“What is THAT?”)
    Result? Drano.
    3. Stirling Mountain Man (“It smells feminine”)
Result? Moved splash. Kept soap, but quickly apply another splash right after.

20 year anniversary coming up this summer? Not a coincidence…

I picked up a free sample of the stuff a few years ago at the Maggard meet up. Maybe just a bad sample, or just my nose. The dominant scent that I got was rubber. Tires, belts, hoses, etc. That and the other petroleum products. Not much if any leather, oakmoss, or other notes purported to be in there. Just...eau de parts counter. The smell mechanics go home and wash off at the end of the day. Just grateful that I didn't have to pay to find out.

@Primotenore's short-term memory is just not the same after long-term exposure to Midnight Stag.

I don't think it has affected me yet, Roger. :happy102:
