Yes thanks Joe, I plan on doing that that next, I am still new to the MWF but liking it a lot. I did start with face lathering with it this morning but although I got a huge amount of lather, I went back to the bowl for more control.

Pre-work shave.
Razor =
Muhle R89
Brush = Puro Tasso boar. Soaked in normal tap water.
Blade = Feather (1) (first time I used a Feather)
March
Madness at its best.
Soap =
Mitchells Wool Fat. 2nd day I have used this...
Prep = cold and hot water soak.
Pre-shave = Proraso white.
Lather = loaded from bloomed soap straight onto face, masses of lather, but then went back to the white bowl, adding more water slowly.
Too much lather initially! Great slickness though.
Aiming for good enough work-day shave, but it turned out to be way better than I had planned.
A combination of MWF and the Feather in the R89 could be all I need!
Still did 3 passes and some cleaning up.
Post: hot and cold water rinse. Applied left over lather to face while cleaning up, then washed this off, dried with towel, applied Thayer's. Felt I did not need any after shave balm.
Jo Malone of London Orange bitters Cologne. Wonderful start to the day.
Result:
I managed to get through shaving the whole face in the 1st pass: I used
less overlapping strokes in the first pass, perhaps I have been spending too much time on the first pass up to now. This way I was easily able to get to the chin in the first pass.
I felt I could have pushed the boundaries a bit if this was a lazy day shave.
A
super shave with the MWF, the Feather and the R89. Very efficient and very comfortable.
Much easier to get around the chin with this combo, beginning to see people love this soap.
Plan: Next time I will stick with this setup, but I will start with a drier brush, loading less than I did this morning and then going back to the lathering bowl. I will see what the Feather is like on Day 2.
