March 9, 2023 Feather AS-D2 Feather Mondial Boar Mitchell’s Wool Fat Speick After Shave Happy Friday Eve! I am up and moving way too early for me. At least I managed to get in a good shave to start the day.
I did move the soap to a larger diameter bowl. The lather this morning was just phenomenal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I commented on this "Fast N Loose"methodology and someone wondered what I was talkinabout. I had to do a "Fast n Loose Take 2". I'm not familiar with Goldilocks.
Yup. All jokes aside (strange coming from me, I know…), novice shavers often make the mistake of not taking ‘didn’t load enough product’ out of the lather making equation.
I gave this some thought…if I was only allowed to keep 5 razors (completely unnecessary, I realize), the Karve with a D plate is on that list. The only modern DE actually. Along with a SS Supply with the 2 dot plate, a Gillette NEW LC, a Cooper MonoBilt and a Barbasol Floating Head. The FH isn’t a daily driver for me like the other 4, though.
I’ll never need to…was just trying to show how highly I value the Karve and the iconic razors I put it in the same class as.
I’m rotating through my razors and setting aside the ones I just don’t enjoy using. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thursday, March 9 Day Sixteen MWF~~Semogue "Mistura"~~Feather AS-D2/Feather (4)~~Paco Rabanne Invictus Aqua The Fat is fully hydrated and quite easy to load. The Semogue is a SE from 2012 and the knot is a 50/50 Badger/Boar mix. I have always been a huge fan of these knots, as this is the third one I have owned. This one is a keeper. Who knows how many shaves remain on this puck???
Day 15 No end in sight for this 3x milled soap. Switched from the Karve to a New Improved. Also a nice shaver…an art deco beauty as well.
