Happy Friday Everyone. After using the Karve for a few days, I can safely say that the razor is one that I really enjoying using. The PAA ShaveRite with its mixed knot loaded and lathered the MWF with ease. Using the daily really takes the soap up to another level. I have found using the same soap everyday allows for a better evaluation of the razors. Onto the Backland Sabre for next 5 or 6 shaves. I decided to start with the level 1 baseplate. A wonderful smooth and efficient shave. I really can't ask for better.

  2. Many of you are better at this than I am. 4 straight days with the same soap is too much for me.

  3. Always love seeing this razor.
  4. Good thinking. :happy096:

  5. Well said, Charlie.
  6. We are in the vast minority, Paul. You, sir are smack-dab in the middle of the avid lovers of traditional shaving. Enjoy the ride. :happy088:
  7. It's been a nice ride.
  8. Me too! I have two razors that shave the same as many others, but are such iconic designs that I love reaching for them- this Bostonian with the stunning Art Deco handle (plus the tres cool elevator case) and the ‘34 OC TTO ‘Crat, which may just be the most beautiful Gillette ever made. I’m very fortunate to have both.

MWF seriously surpasses vintage Williams. (It's close)
I was asked to start a 3017 thread on TSN. I am the last man standing am abandoning my own thread. :transport016:
    That forum lacks such interest.
New Feather blade was surprisingly comfortable in the Gillette.
Finished with a stunning stank: Christian Dior Leather Oud.

Another very nice shave with the Bostonian. The lather? Same as always…
  13. I didn't get to Piggly today-well, I did but just for a few minutes, as I was getting low on my "Low-Fiber Diet" in preparation for my colonoscopy Tues. Tomorrow I go again to get the "Clear Liquid" stuff. No crummy drink this time-just pills and water(man, I hope the pills will be fine).

  14. I would suggest that you 3017 the MiraLax, Paul, but that would probably not turn(er) out too well. :happy097:

...and just in case you're contemplating it...DON'T.
    :thanks:
  15. 3017 (TSN) Update...
Flash...don't quit Primo, I am going to start a 3017 on Monday...

  16. Thank you Charlie....I really do, too. I learned from past procedures not to stuff myself once it's over. After my first one, my mom and I had a Chinese food lunch. MISTAKE. Gradual is the best way to go. I'm not saying I had 2 or 3 helpings of a Buffet lunch-..went a little easir than that, but STILL.....Sino is Sino.

  17. I won't. That's the first thing I have to consume on Clearl Liquid Day. Just 3 small lax pills, then it's 3017, baby.

Maya starts Grad school at UGA in August. My wife and I are happy to get a chance of making her a UGA Dawg fan yet. So Maya and I got up early to tour her final two apartment choices. On such a busy morning it was nice to have an automatic drama free shave. Overall a great day
  20. Thank you Charlie. We are really proud of the girls. I agree with you. Swati is the glue that keeps things together around here.
