1. Well, looks like I'll be out of commission for a little while. On Monday I'll be in the hospital for partial bowel removal surgery. It was discovered on my recent colonoscopy that there is a section in my bowels that has a pre-cancerous area. There isn't any cancer, but it's a possibility that there could be in the future. I'm sure there are members on here that can relate or know about it. The Doc did mention that there will be no need of a poop bag, and for that, it's the only reason I'm going to have the surgery. If he said I'd need one, I'd most likely wouldn't do it. I should be there until Wednesday, when I get released. Recovery times can vary, but usually five to six weeks, baring any complications. So if I feel up to it, I'll have my GF bring me a shave kit for a Tuesday or early Wednesday shave before I get discharged. Maybe my WW II Canadian Gillette Tech, we'll see.
  2. Jimjo, myself and my family all have you in our prayers. We are at a stage in our lives where things are going to break down. Stay strong & good luck to you.

  10. Jim, I had a scheduled colonoscopy Tuesday-but it was unsuccessful, as they couldn;t do it, I really thought I had it all cleared out, but apparently not. This is my 4th straight failed colonoscpy. At my last successful one, he took out a polyp that was pre-cancerous. I fear there's something bad going on "down there", but I've struggled so much with the prep(although I did tolerate this most recent one, which adds to the frustration of having to go home again without success.). They want me to d9 a two-day prep now, which may work, but I'll once again lose a lot of sleep.

  11. Father, bless Jim with the comfort of Your peace, and the doctors with Your wisdom and skill. I pray You would bless Jim with no complications and a quick healing. All for Your glory, in Jesus' name. Amen

  13. 22???? That is sad, given when we are supposed to begin getting them. At least the prep is better now, but I was told the ugly tasting prep that led to my two successful ones is outdated.. Thanks for the good wish. It had better work this time.

  19. Well, someone screwed up and forgot to add something for me to take before my surgery. The surgery has been canceled. Of course it's when I get to the hospital I find that out.

  20. Course the "tooty-fruity" envelopes you can use helps the taste somewhat. But I hate that it's out-dated. This "pills&water" one is OK though.
