Thanks Gary, nice to get that confirmation. I have been trawling though the posts here and online but gave up. I see you are one of those that have the inside scoop on these Gillettes! Not a big deal to me to nail the specific year, late 40s is good enough for me. That makes this >10 years older than me, which is kind of cool. Just a surreal feeling to use a razor that old, flaws and all, and get such a great result.

 

fair enough.certain models offer better results than others.most gillette fans agree that the 46-7 'crat it a finer shave than a 48-51 version.but that is that.enjoy your divulgence into said examples and chose your own favorites.
