DE Shave # 460 - Shave Stick Saturday - Palmolive

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: Rod George Catacomb 2
    Blade: Shark Platinum
    Brush: Jack Skully
    Lather: Palmolive Classic Stick
    Aftershave: Sailor Jerry Spiced Navy
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

I needed a quick shave since I did not do my shave set up the night before because we took out Anthony and some of his friends to a Carnivale in town. Most expensive ride we have ever purchased, which includes all the times we have traveled to Disney. It was so crowded and the lines were disorganized, people cutting the lines, that the boys got on one ride in two hours. Price for the arm band ticket to get in was $42. Your do the math. Highest per ride cost in the country I would bet. Never going there again.

Joe,@Trigger, will not be walking at Heritage Park this weekend.

The shave stick and the DE razor cut down on the prep time. With the shave stick I prefer to do a face lather. I still did my three pass shave, I did add more soap to the face with the stick after the second pass. The resulting shave was super smooth. The Sailor Jerry Spiced Navy finished it off nicely.

Nice quick shave Joe. I was at Heritage Park the last few days and I knew it was going to be a disastrous weekend there with the carnival in town. 42 dollars to get on the grounds is highway robbery.

Grazie Joe, hopefully the blade will smooth out over time, and I can zip around the face more relaxed over time.

A wonderful shave set up Joe...The Palmolive Classic Stick is without doubt one of my all-time favourite shaving soaps...Hence my forum name 'Palmolive Fox' the Fox is part of my surname. Before the Soap's demise from the UK high street I acquired a vast amount of sticks which will keep me going for a few years. :happy088:

Nice work this morning with the Zingari Man soap and Vetiver de Guerlain A..S. (which I flipped afterwards, as the bottle emptied). 2 passes. Clean&fresh all over. Zero across the board for cuts, Knicks, and polka-dots. If I plan to get another Zingari(big "if" there), I figure it will be the Unscented, opening up the choices for the aftershave to follow), Happy with the shave today. As Outstanding As It Gets.

I am going out this evening so a shave is in order.
At one time, I was met with this razor, but I definitely have learned that mild razors do an excellent job on short stubble. I wouldn't use this razor or other mild razors for my heavier stubble. I haven't used my favorite brush and so it got the call. I did a dry load and facelathered my stubble. I did go back to reload because I didn't have enough soap for my first lather. It's no crime to go back to the puck and add more soap to the face before I start the shave. Two passes with buffing gave me a great BBS result without any errors. Slight alum feedback was normal for me. Splashed and spritzed on the aftershave and the EdT, respectively. I look clean and refreshed. Most importantly, I smell nice. Take care.

    Brush: Yaqi 24mm Sagrada Familia.
    Face Lather.
Lather: Phoenix & Beau Star Noir Shaving Soap.
Blade: Silver Star Super Stainless. (D2)
    Razor: Weishi 2.0 Adjustable. (Settings) wtg/xtg 5, atg + pick-ups 6.

    Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse./Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse/Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.3 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./ Dana English Leather ASL. / Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

    Greetings,

    A relaxing Sunday morning shave.

It's been a while since i last used the Weishi 2.0 Adjustable...I find the higher setting are more suited to my skin type. I have an array of in-expensive Chinese clone razors which all provide me with socially acceptable shaves.

The Weishi 2.0 Adjustable/ Silver Star was another smooth efficient combo...The Weishi Adjustable performance on the higher settings gives a superb efficient comfortable shave.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine. ;)

Keep safe, and enjoy your Sunday ladies & gentlemen.
