Do you find Proraso finicky about mixing in too much or too little water?

I find it very easy to lather, but very difficult to get the product/water ratio just right for maximum slickness. It always seems like I've used not enough, or too much water. I love the lather, but I wish it was easier to find the "sweet" spot in terms of the mix ratio.

Yes, very much so... I switched to Kiss My Face and never looked back.

You can use it with little or no water, brush or no brush... great stuff.

Nope. Water brush, swirl it on the soap and lather up. Never had troubles with too much or too little water...

I have used Proraso for decades and did so because of its easy lathering capabilities and slickness. If you are having trouble with it, something is wrong.

I'm not using the soap, I'm using the cream (in the tube).

Is it as slick as soap?

I find creams are easier to lather, but soaps are easier to get to the right slickness.

I've had bad lathering creams and drying soaps as well. It really depends on the product. But I've never had trouble with Proraso - be it the soap or the cream. But, who knows, maybe the brush also plays a part...

I'm using a BBB. What brush do you use?

JayKay 3000 posts and all I got was this lousy title

I always though proraso was a PITA to lather back when I had a boar brush and lathered it in a bowl.

I think it's slicker than soap... $4 for a tube or $7 for a jug with a pump, lasts a long time.

I use a rather dense silvertip badger brush made for rasurpur.de. Don't know who made it, though...

No need to order it. You should be able to find it in stores.

Too late. I just ordered a tube of the lavender and a tube of the lime. Which stores sell it?

Where do you live? I could get you a list of probable stores in your area.

The Proraso cream is easy to lather for me and our local soft water. It looks so smooth and creamy and glistens when it's just right.

If you can do a zip code search, I have a couple, 45424 and 60446. City wise, Romeoville, IL and Huber Heights, OH.

It can be tricky to find (at least where I live). There's one place I know of that carries it and it's one of those all natural type stores.
