  3. Have you used de Vergulde Hand before? I never knew anyone who liked it enough to buy it in bulk.

  4. No, I haven't. I've been meaning to try it forever though. From what I read I'm pretty sure it will suit me. I've yet to meet a stick that I didn't like. Shipping for 10 is the same as for 1, so it came out to about $6.50 each that way.

I imagine a few will end up as raffle prizes, too.

  5. It's not a bad soap, but it's not a great one either. It's a bit lacking in the good post shave feel, a bit drying. I have a (now) vintage stick of it that I got out of the TSD traveling box back in 2012, I think. They trade heavily on their reputation as one of the world's oldest soap manufacturers. I did some digging on that, and it's not entirely true. The current version of the soap manufacturing cooperative hasn't been around for 400 years, and the shaving soap line was introduced in the 1970's, if I recall correctly. It does have a pleasant light soapy floral scent.

I will be interested in seeing what you think of it.

  7. I finally broke down and bought Taylor's Eaton College soap, a fragrance I've greatly enjoyed since getting a small a/s sample bottle several Travel Boxes ago.

Also ordered samples of all current Chiseled Face soaps.

  9. That's quite interesting.
I've always viewed razors that take skin off as undesirable for shaving.
I never thought it might be marketed.
  10. Here's a personal favorite of mine.
