Monday, April 24 AoS Lavender~~Simpson X3~~Gillette #44/SpoilerCandidate #5 Art of Shaving Lavender (Valobra) Pros: I cannot identify a modern soap that's better. Comes with a built-in donut hole. Cons: Discontinued soap (I have 2 backups). Triple-milled. (WTH...been there-done that) The lavender isn't the strongest, but it's clean and fresh. Superior in slickness and protection. Stunning and sumptuous lather. X-Rated Lather shots.

Tuesday, April 25 AoS Lavender~~Simpson T3~~1947 Gillette Super-Speed/Spoiler Primo's back with another 3017. Since I used it yesterday, I am calling this Day Two. As you can see, I chose a soap with a limited life-span. However, looks can be deceiving. There are a lot of great shaves in this tub. The SS delivered...in spades. Not shown is my aftershave. Today, I went with the classic Old Spice Lime. Sweet juice. Too bad the scent doesn't last very long. AND...we're off!
April 25, 2023 Feather AS-D2 Feather Mondial Boar Mitchell’s Wool Fat Speick After Shave I am happy to say that the end of my journey with the Fat is approaching. I would guessing around 2 weeks more or less.
I work an odd schedule lately, and today is the weekend for me. So out comes the weekend-only hardware. One of my newer toys. (Yeah, honed by that guy - on that kind of hone.) The EJ soap is just slick enough for the job. Not slick enough to be my first choice. If I weren't doing this 3017, I'd be reaching for Valobra, or Electric Sheep, or something. But good to know I don't have to give up straights for the duration. And yes, that puck is getting to be a shadow of its former self.
Day 13 Inspired by @Primotenore to reach for the Shulton OS Lime this morning. I was lucky enough to get a ‘NOS in package’ bottle a year or so ago.
April 26, 2023 Pils 101NL 30 DC LE Feather Mitchell’s Wool Fat Speick After Shave Happy Wednesday Everyone !!! Whew what a day. I broke out the Pils today. I just love this razor. Between the looks and performance it is one of my favorites. The angle is just different enough to keep things interesting. At this point I am ready for both the Fat and Speick to be done and dusted. I am pretty sure the Fat will be gone first.
Wednesday, April 26 AoS Lavender~~Vie-Long~~Gillette #44 RFB/Spoiler~~Lavande 44 Day Three. Even the fine badger hair of the Vie-Long picked up an uber-amount of soap. The Spoiler lived up to its name and the Rania J. finished off a wonderful shave.
Day 14 I’ve stared at a few razors in the rack that I never seem to reach for. I need to give them a few days run and decide whether to keep them or not. Today and tomorrow will be the DS Cosmetic Z0. Not for the faint of heart, that’s for sure. More blade feel than in any other razor I currently use. 2 careful passes left me quite smooth. The 3017 focus? Same as always…many days left.
