Nice way to close out(until next time)the Bill Neumann Heartwood duo. The Clubman brush was a bit more challenging to work with, due to its smaller size. But it got the job done for me, Zeroes across the board again on cuts, Knicks Polka-dots. Throughout the 2-pass shave, I had to bring the brush back into the soap for more loading. Good plan. Clean and clear everywhere. I missed a tiny bit at the right sideburn(I know....it's happpened a lot). Heartwood A.S., followed by Mutamayez(Swiss Arabian)cologne. Super Duper Outstanding.

Growth: 24 hours pre work shave
Prep: Usual Warm water soak x 3 followed by massaging in Proraso Green.
    Bowl: White bowl
    Soap/Croap/Cream: T&H Sandalwood. One scoop.
Brush: Omega “black” synthetic, not a looker but works fine. I do like the shape of the handle. lightly wetted, adding water to lather mix 3 times. Beautiful thick yoghurt protective lather.
    Razor: Muhle R89
Blade: Gillette Stainless (2), giving this another chance, interesting how different it is in a different razor.

Post: HWR, CWR, Thayers. Aftershave: Brut

    Pass 1: WTG and XTG
    Pass 2: XTG
    Pass 3: not needed
Clean ups: ATG top lip, corners of mouth, adams’ apple bull-frogging and swallow-and-holding. Still needs judicious navigation around the lumps and bumps. Turned out fine.

Damage: temporary minor weeper left top lip, more strokes needed per pass with this day 2 blade.

Results: super smooth, ready for work. Brut and T&H Sandalwood work together better than Brut and Arko (according to my wife)

Very pleasing. R89 still a nice safe razor.

Thanks Joe, impressive as always, I will be remaining firmly seated in the spectator's pavilion for straight shaves!

Great results Paul. I find myself doing the same by going back to the hard soap pucks between passes. Seems to work fine.

Thanks Chris. I will be doing another video with my largest straight this week. It is my 13/8 ArtRazor and that is 3/8 of an inch larger than my 10/8 Max Sprecher. I will probably video it as well.

    Unbranded razor (possible Clix).
    Rapira Platinum Lux blade (3).
    Delrin handle synthetic brush.
    Pheonix Accoutrements Dixie shave soap.
    Timeless Razor shave bowl.
    Cremo Bourbon and Oak EdT.

First run with a cheap razor. I picked up two of these razors for $5.00 on a whim. I think they are Clix razors with plastic base plates and handle.

The little razor surprised me....very efficient and smooth. Three very nice passes but the alum was warm. Overall it is a razor I will keep in rotation.

I guess the moral of the story so to speak is don't count the cheap ones out.

    Take care everyone!

That's right...Bill Neumann pucks are tough to work with, but it's worth it im the end.
