Danny @Hembree inspired today’s shave. I decided to go with my $1.36 Dollar Tree razor and the blade that was packaged with it. I am fortunate that my skin and beard type can handle this setup because the reviews were less than favorable. It's a ymmv thing. I use a more shallow angle than with my other DE razors and I think that's why I have done well with this razor.
Anyway, I took out my seldom used Semogue and it did a fine job lathering the Arko shave soap. While it's not true for most soaps, a little goes a long way way this one.
Did a 2 pass shave without pickups for a near BBS shave. There wasn't any blood or irritation. The alum didn't give much feedback. I finished with the Old-Time Classic Pinaud-Clubman aftershave. Take care gents.

Very nice classic and inexpensive shave Joe.

 

I think someone flipped some clove scent into my Gabels Bay Rum just as the shiping process began. I had read that there was no clove in Gabels BR, but it's there. I'll do my best to tolerate it. beginning tomorrow. Maybe I'll be OK with it, who knows? Maybe it'll blend in nicely with the Jeeves BR soap. Let's hope so.

Growth: 24 hours
Prep: Usual Warm water soak x 3 followed by massaging in Proraso Green.
Bowl: White bowl
Soap/Croap/Cream: T&H Sandalwood. Big scoop, a bit much!
Brush: Omega “black” synthetic, 2nd time, actually lathers and paints well, nice and soft.
Razor: Muhle R89
Blade: Gillette Stainless (1) Trying this out again this time with my trusty R89.
Post: HWR, CWR, Thayers. Aftershave: Proraso Rinfrescante

Pass 1: WTG and XTG
Pass 2: XTG and WTG
Pass 3: Touch ups.

Weeper lower left chin, too much buffing with a new blade. Needed some Proraso Gel Riparatore

Results: Another great shave. 8/10 >> small nick, some stubble right lower neck, deduct two points.
The Gillette Stainless felt much better in the R89 compared to my Vintage Gillettes. Might just be less dragging from the cap with these older razors though.

Bowl: Home Bargains Stainless Steel Side Bowl.
Lather: Palmolive Classic Shave Cream.
Blade: Dorco Prime Platinum. (D2)
Frankenrazor: Muhle R41 (2013) / Schmidt R10 Handle.

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse./Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse. /Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.3 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel. / Brut Attraction Totale ASL./ Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

A smooth efficient shave to finish my shaving week off wonderfully.

The Palmolive classic shave cream is such a wonderful performer which creates a rich protective lather with only a small amount giving a great lasting classic fragrance throughout the shave, leaving a good post shave feel.
Recently I've had some superb shaves with this Frankenrazor set up the hefty Schmidt R10 handle makes the razor feel balanced and more comfortable to use.

Another enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

My face is feeling smooth cool, & smelling divine.

Fantastic shave this morning. Unfortunately, the Lather Bros. no longer are making any soaps. This soap base lathers as well as any in my den. A small almond size scoop from the tub produces lather that can easily overflow my Fine Accoutrement bowl. I would definitely purchase other soaps from this artisan if they were still in business.

I did my usually three passes shave with the assistance of this mornings straight razor without any issues. Post shave alum gave a minimal report at the left jaw hinge, all good elsewhere.

I decided to pair the soap with the Small Batch splash. I was not disappointed.
