When Joseph asked about the Zenith Olive Wood brush I did enable him but also managed to enable myself and got this boar brush. Despite having the same specs as my existing Olive Wood Boar the know clearly has a shorter loft. No worries it will still work great. The thing I enjoy the most about Zenith boar brushes is the super quick breakin. I shampooed the brush and let it soak in warm water for a couple of hours. The brush was soft and ready to go. The shave this morning was a great start to the day.

You fellers are rocking some lovely boar brushes. Those Zeniths are very tempting.

Joseph is the AOS the older tallow version? I have the newer vegan version that’s ok but I’ve heard the previous version was much better.

Yes. The AoS is the older tallow, Valobra-manufactured soap. One of the greats.

Have Friday Eve! Wow what a week. Since I really like the looks of the MdC soaps in a wooden bowl, I decided to transfer mine to a wooden bowl. Thus far I am making good progress on the MdC. Based on my previous experience with the MdC original last year this one should go down quicker than the Fat did.

Very nice, Clint. Did you ever have one of the MdC 'Brain Bowls' in wood? I can't remember.

It is good to be home. I have to admit, I'm getting to an age where travel (especially for work) seems to be a complete hassle.

That's a pretty big donut hole.
Kept a much shallower angle with the GC and it seemed happier. So did my skin.​

I will be posting shortly.

MdC is a bold choice for 3017, MdC Fougère is a favorite of mine.

Pierre Cardin is a classic!

Inspiration for my next 3017.

Today is Childrens Day in Korea so I have Friday off. This shave completes one 3017 and starts a new one. Today was the swan song for the Small Batch Shave Tonic, the heavens cried for the last shave. Fortunately my watch sensie gifted me the back up. Today is the first day of my new target, AoS Tallow. A legend of wetshaving this soap performs great for me. It is an unscented version so often I combine it with a more fragrant soap.

At least this puck is already have way done. I’m with you on the Fougère scent.
