    24 hours. Early morning shave.
    Razor = Eversharp Hydromagic.
    Blade = Personna (4)
    Croap = T & H Sandalwood again.
    Brush = Razorock Plisoft synthetic.
    Bowl lathering, adding croap between pass 1 and pass 2.
    2 passes used, WTG and XTG.
    Changing down a gear from yesterday, more focused and going very lightly. My skin was still recovering from yesterday’s SE shave, or maybe from two SE days in a row.
    No damage to yesterday’s nick, though, tip-toed around that. Mild new weeper left lower chin in the first pass, it recovered on its own.

    Overall close shave in just 2 passes. But the right lower neck remains a bit rough. If I want this smoother I will have to deal with this using a less aggressive razor to allow multiple close rotary buffing. I don’t feel I can do this with this SE combo while my skin is still well exfoliated from the previous shaves ☹

    Post: Warm and cold water rinse, both revealing some skin rawness. Alum was stinging neck and the chin. Thayers liberally applied. Proraso Green AS splash. Cerave facial lotion.

    Scent: Who is Elijah EdP is fast coming to a close thankfully it is pretty weak.

    Couldn't resist reaching for the Tabac ASL as a top up scent.

    Close enough shave for a workday. The aftershave treatment did up the ante providing a somewhat tight feel to the face. I suspect it was the Cerave that does this. Beginning to appreciate the benefits of post shave skin-care.

    The T&H was fine for my prior DE shaves but seems a bit lacking for my SE at this stage.
    I might want to thicken this up somehow for further SE shaves or go back to Arko or MWF.

    Will have to see tomorrow morning what the plan will be.

    Great shave and setup Barry! As a fellow dome shaver, I also love it when I get a great shave from a razor that I am iffy about using it. Enjoy your afternoon!

    Terrific shave, setup and post Chris. I remember when I first started wetshaving in 2018 that I used Noxema Cleansing Cream as a preshave to help thicken stubborn soaps like Williams Mug Soap.

    Well, I guess I should say I'm glad you finally found it. Another one by the way to watch out for is Bill Neumann&Co. Actually, it's William Neumann&Co., but you know me by now :).

    Fine Throwback Thursday shave this morning. The Barbasol Pacific felt nice going on(it's ther coldest offering, thus far). One pass, in an "Against The Grain" direction. No cuts, Knicks, Polka-dots....good sign. A reviewer of the Gabels Original A.S. wrote that it felt like a Skin Bracer dupe to him. I woild agree. Interestingly, Skin Bracer and Gabels Original came out a year apart(SB 1931, Gabels 1932), thus perhaps Gabels Original isindeed a Skin Bracer copycat. I can't comment, as I was 25 years from being born at the time. But they do smell quite similar. As Outstanding As It Gets.

    At the gym I used to go to(it was bought out by someone), they'd have outdoor classes when the weather got real nice.

    Lather: Lather Bros. Calle Ocho

    Another beautiful day here on LI. This morning I went for a walk for about a hour through the neighborhood with a 20 lb vest. Excellent sway to see the sights while raising the heartbeat just a little. On tap this afternoon will be an X3 Bar Pull workout on the patio with the Vibe Plate.

    Following the walk and a warm shower I had a very nice three pass shave with my diet last custom razor, the Drew Dick Damascus. Once again it delivered an exceptionally close shave. The Lather Bros. Soap continues to impress. With its slickness and ability to produce hinges amounts of lather. Joe, @Trigger, I will bring you a sample for a shave at our next meet up. You should experience this no long in production soap. I think you will be impressed.

    Hope you all have a great day gentlemen.

    Wonderful shave and a great workout as well. My 30 minutes of rowing at LA Fitness this morning is enough for me. Maybe, I will take a walk later this afternoon. The LBS sounds interesting. Thanks.

    Thank you Chris...I create my own barber shop experience with my post shave. The witch hazel I use is distilled with a small percentage of alcohol in it so the menthol crystals dissolve after a while. Before I apply my witch hazel giving it a quick shake to activate & mix it together with added essential oils. It's not really complexed, basically it's applying an additional toner before the aftershave, the the balm/ aloe Vera gel puts the moisture back into my mature skin.
    I work in a steel mill which is constantly hot my post shave preserves my skin during my working shift. I occasionally just use either an ASB /moisturizer/aloe Vera gel. Then an EdT/EdP at weekends or for special occasions.
    PS: The cerave facial lotion sounds a good post shave application.
