    Saturday Straights' Cold Water Shave

    Cold Water Rinse
    HC&C GunSinger Shave Soap
    Jayaruh #340 Two-band Badger
    Gold Dollar 280
    CWR
    Aqua Velva Musk AS

The HC&C GunSinger Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #340 Two-band Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gold Dollar 280 Straight gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

4th shave with the Latvian made razor, on a new edge. . Smooth and quiet 2 pass shave, that left me BBS. Zero issues, just a fine shaving razor. The Tabac soap, was super slick, and easy to lather.

    Razor- RigaRazor. Made in Latvia.
Brush- @Jayaruh made #262. Ebony/Birdseye Maple with a Silvertip Badger knot.
    Soap- TABAC
    Aftershave- Vintage Avon Spicy

Finally found some replacement scales for this blade.
    IMG_4064.jpeg
Hard to replicate the thinness and the shape, but I found something I liked on an old Sheffield.
    IMG_4065.jpeg
A little thicker, but I like that it feels less delicate. Works for me.
    Enjoy your shave.

Well done Tom! Looks great. I agree that the Ivory scales on CWH are really thin, one of the reasons I don’t try to tighten the rivets when they become loose. Always afraid to create a crack.
