    Shaving Recipe for today.

    Prep: Warm shower:/ Dove Men+Care Clean Comfort Body + Face Wash.

    Pre:
    Cold wet flannel to my face & head.
    Pears Original Transparent Bar Soap.
    Brush: Omega 49.
    Bowl Lather.
    Bowl: Home Bargains Stainless Steel Side Bowl.
    Lather: Ach Brito Mogno Shaving Soap.
    Razor: Parker 94R. (Face) - Vidyut/Supermax Super Stainless. (D1)
    Razor: Gillette guard. (Head/Dome)- (D2)

    Post:
    Cold water face & head wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face & Head Rinse./Alum Rub. /Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.3 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./ Davidoff Cool Water ASL./Aloe Vera Gel.

    (Face & Head Shave)

    A new shave set up to start the weekend...

    The Ach Brito Mogno soap produced a slick protective lather in a short space of time leaving a superb post shave feel...Another soap which I need to add to my soap rotation and use more regularly.

    Another comfortable 3 pass +pick ups DFS near BBS head/dome shave from the Gillette guard mowing through seven days worth of hair with ease. My rekindled fondness for this one blade cartridge razor grows with each outing. My head feels dolphin smooth with no irritation or cuts.

    The Vidyut/Super-max SS paired up with the hefty 94R wonderfully feeling smooth & efficient.

    Another enjoyable close comfortable 2 pass + pick ups face and head shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Aloe Vera Gel.

    My face & precious swede are feeling cool smooth, & smelling divine. ;)

    Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen. :cool:

    Terrific shaves Barry! I am impressed with the Gillette Gaurd shavimg your dome and giving you an error-free result. If I let my dome turf grow out, then I would have to use my Mühle R102 to mow it. Enjoy your afternoon!

    26 hours

    Prep = Usual Preshave with Proraso Green.

    Soap = Tabac, bowl lathering.
    Brush = Boar Puro Tasso
    Razor = Gillette Slim I-4
    Blade = Gillette Stainless (2) last one of the tuck. Binned this, adding to my small collection in my Eclipse Mints Blade Bank

    3 Passes with careful ATG for a lovely Saturday morning shave.
    First two passes Slim set on No 5, then down to No 3 for 3rd pass and the buffing.

    Post: Warm water rinse, cold water rinse, alum was silent, Thayers, Tabac AS balm and Lotion.

    Residual = right lower neck. Need to revisit my beard map to work out a strategy here.

    Damage: None

    Smooth and presentable for my Flu Jab this morning.

    I do see benefit as a newcomer to wet shaving to using an adjustable razor. One can start on a low setting to practice technique, or one can use a higher setting when you have more day’s growth, or a lower setting if your lather is not that great, and you can adjust the setting to different passes or even to suit different parts of one’s face or neck area. So yes, I like my Slim.

    Enjoy your weekend and weekend shaves everyone.

    A greeat overall shave this morning on "Bay Rum Week-end". 2 passes. Goose eggs on the cuts, Knicks, Polka-dots. The Jeeves soap surrounds the perimiter of the jar-all the bottom is gone. There used to be a time I never thought I'd get this far with it. A lomg way to go, certainly, but I just didn't know when I'd see the blacktop. The Stoylin brush was a soap magnet, getting a good strong amount. Nice work in all areas of the face&neck. South to North for first pass, opposite way for the second. Now having used the Gabels Bay Rum A.S. and that of Stephan Bay Rum, I can compare the two. Less clove persuasion from the Stephan, but both give a nice finish...soft feel. Passion 4 Men cologne to close out. As Outstanding As It Gets.

    Thank you Joe... The Gillette Guard does a good job for what it is. 7 days of dome stubble took 3.5 passes for a near BBS finish. However My muhle R41 would have taken it down in 2+pick ups for the same result.I love the efficiency of my R41,but the Gillette Guard has it's qualities too, just like all of the razors that I have and use.

    As the summer is approaching I'm going to be doing two head/domes shaves per week instead of just one as this will be more beneficial for myself and the Gillette Guard. My June theme I plan to do a Gillette Tech & clone focus carrying on using up my subcontinent and Egyptian made DE blades.

    Enjoy the start of the weekend Joe. :cool:

    I am going out tonight so I wanted to be clean-shaven without using a soap and aftershave that lingers for hours. Therefore, Cella and Old Spice got the call.
    I decided to use the Marco Method to bowl lather. The caveat is only use soap that loves water. This method doesn't allow you to get rid of the excess water from your brush. You use all the water while you just swirl and swirl and tamp down on the suds for a good 4 - 5 minutes. Eventually, you will get this rich and creamy lather like I did. I made sure that I had more than enough soap to use this method. In fact, there was still some solid soap left in the bowl so I put it back in the tub for later use.

    20230513_154724.jpg

    I was done with the shave with 2 passes ,but I did a 3rd pass shave because I didn't want to waste this nice lather. The result was almost a pass the cottons ball BBE shave test. However, a tiny weep by my mouth appeared during my first pass. These Peesonna blades are still sharp after the 6th use so I probably had a tiny bit of pressure over the maximum threshold for that weep to occur. LOL!
    The alum feedback was evident, but tolerable. Splashed on the Old Spice aftershave to end this session. Take care guys.
