Another fine shave . To honor my Mom, I repeated the Bay Rum offering from yesterday, with one change(yeah, you guessed what I changed):

Brush-Crown King(Duro Spindle Tali)

2 passes. No Cuts, Knicks, , Polka-dots. Cheeks, sideburns-Check. Porcupine Alley, Check(both ends) lCactus Nation-Check(all around). Ste[han Bay Rum A.S.-Check. Passion 4 Men cologne to finish-Check. Very pleased. As Outstanding As It Gets.

 

Well fellas, I just placed my second most expensive order since joining here(first was the 2 Bill Neumann aftershaves). I'll be getting a double-whammy of Fine's Latigo(leather)...soap and A.S. They did offer a discount, which of course I took. A "Welcome" discount. I probably won't be using them until the fall. Latigo appears to be a dupe of Knize 10, a popular Austrian soap.

It's rare that I have a no shave Sunday. I am visiting a friend about 20 miles west of me at 2 pm and then leaving for 6 pm services. My stubble is not 24 hrs so I can live without shaving and going to services.

Awesome shave this morning. The grandkids are over for the weekend and my granddaughter likes to pick out my saop. It's fun watching her open the containers, smelling the soaps and then saying this is the one.

The Sentinel is just a great shaving machine. Yaqi really knocked that one out of the park and across the parking lot.

I almost forgot to add that I have a rare little bird on the way in. It is a modern stainless steel razor that is about 12 years old. I give you a hint....it is an Ikon. I got it for a song and I do mean song. It has a bent safety bar but I think I can massage that out. I'll do a post about it in a couple of days.

48 hours

Prep = Usual Preshave with Proraso Green mild menthol.
Soap = Tabac, bowl lathering. Erring on the side of a touch too thick for pass 1, thinning down for pass 2 and 3 and ATG touch ups.
Brush = Old Vulfix Pure Badger
Razor = Gillette Rocket HD
Blade = Gillette 7 o’clock Super Stainless (1)
3 Passes with touch ups.
Managing to go ATG on the top lip nicely with these milder razors.

Minor weeper lower lip, the Rocket HD is mild and this meant more buffing was needed.
Post: Warm water rinse, cold water rinse, alum was silent, Thayers, Tabac AS balm and Lotion.

Residual = right lower neck.
Overall score 8/10. Would have liked this to be more fuss-free and nick free.
