The new addition to the den made it in today.

These pictures are the condition that it arrived in. I should be able to straighten out the safety bar, give it a good cleaning and polishing. It just needs a little love.

Introducing my new to me Ikon S3S all stainless steel razor.

I don't know how many of these were made but I figure the numbers are low. I think the razor came out in 2011. The head is similar to the Pils and Tradere.

Hopefully I'll have it ready for a test run in the morning.

If you have any information on the S3S please add to the comments. I'm always willing to learn.

Looks like a good repair on the safety bar, can not notice any dents know!
How does it shave, looks aggressive visually?

    Thanks Ron.

The safety bar turned out great. If you know what you are looking at you can see a slight distortion in the bar.

The razor shaves great. I first tried too steep of an angle and the alum test lit up. Today I used the Weber Classic handle to balance it out a little better....it was head heavy. I tried a less of a steep angle like a normal razor and it was better. I can hardly tell any difference between the open comb side and the solid bar side....both are smooth and efficient.

You may not believe me but the shave reminds of a shave the Yaqi Sentinel gives. It is a very comfortable razor to shave with even though it weighs in at 4.8 ounces with the Weber handle.

I just need a few more shaves to get it dialed in. I'm trying to adjust to the weight but we are getting along nicely.

    Take care.

Is that an evolution of the iKon SBS?

I do not know which came first. I under understand that the SBS is an all aluminum head with a flipable base plate. I think the early SBS heads were all brass.

Hopefully someone with more knowledge will chime in.

You are correct about the SBS. They are very similar.
