May 19th '34 Aristocrat w Sharp Star (3) Omega Pro / Poculi Stirling Gin and Tonic Thayers Myrsol Lemon A nice 3 pass shave this morning. I find that this razor needs all 3 passes to get it where I want it. Not as efficient as the NEWs from the same company in the same decade. A stunner, though! Have a great day all.

The old time Yardleys, depending on how they were stored, can get dried out. I have three different bowls and they rock out some terrific lather.
That's much appreciated, Gary, I know how much the Techs play an integral part in your den. This was the first shave one on the Platinum/ Tech and it was an extra-nice shave. There are blades that are easy on my neck with the ATG pass and others not so. This is one of my favorite Russian blades. The Tech held it at a comfortable angle.
Friday Shave Lather: PAA CK-6 Scentsless soap Brush: PAA Green Ray Razor: Henson AL13 V2 + Blade: PAA Platinum Strangelet Post: PAA Mysterium Serum, unscented Cold water shave This was my first use of the PAA Platinum Strangelet blades. The packaging has the characteristic retro-sci-fi comic book look that is the PAA trademark. The blade was not bad, sort of medium in sharpness, similar in feeling to the RK Stainless blades that Henson sells. I like those well enough, too. This blade felt a little bit rough during the first pass, but much more comfortable in the second pass, and post shave my face feels good with less irritation than I sometime get from the sharpest blades. The other PAA products that I used were great, as usual -- they are part of my frequent rotation.
very cool.i sought out a few hundred of these blue box platinums, swedish market blades.notice the uk address on the end.maybe brit market also.these are the same blades as the KCG ones i believe.i love techs but mostly use nacets with them so far.
