    (Face & Head Shave)

A new shave set up to start the weekend....A near repeat of my previous shave.

I used the Ach Brito Mogno Shaving Soap Bar like a shave stick rubbing it directly into my stubble then started to build up a lather with my wet brush adding more water to the tips of the brush continued building the lather until i got it to the consistency i like, adding more water to the tips of brush in-between each pass.

Another enjoyable close comfortable face and head shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with few small dollops of Creightons Sensitive PSB.

My face & precious swede are feeling cool smooth, & smelling divine. ;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.

    Rating: 5 / 5 - Travel Shave # 2

    Razor: Target Generic Cartridge
    Brush: Ever Ready 200T
Lather: Hendrix Classics & Company Bay Rum
Aftershave: PAA Atomic Age Bay Rum

Day 2 of Anthony’s Birthday weekend. Same setup as yesterday with similar results. A close, comfortable irritation free shave. The one this I noticed from yesterday’s shave was that while it was close it was more of an illusion as the razor did its best smoke and mirror impression.

Unlike a shave with my DEs, SEs and Straights, the scruffiness of the growing stubble was noticed much earlier in the afternoon whereas as I usually get to later in the evening before noticing. Another reason to abandon the plastic manufactured blade holders.

Wonderful shave Chris! At one time, I was meh with my Gillette Slim Adjustable, but I find that it performs well. How do you like the Feather blades?

Excellent shave and astute assessment of the Target cartridge razor. You can tough it out for the next 2 days.

Hi Joe @Trigger, I like this combination.
I have used Feathers before with Gillette Techs (and from memory in my R89) and they work well. I am just looking for a combination that gives me a closer shave sooner.

This morning was great, it fair peeled off the stubble on the cheeks, needed some care in the other tricky areas, but overall shave was closer than usual. But then again, I seem to do better with growth > 24 hours. At 8 PM at night I am still smoother than usual.

Haven't tried the Feathers in a slant or OC yet, that will be another challenge to my technique.....

The correct lather consistency helps too, and as your mentoring indicates, although this may take a more time and effort, it is well worth it.

Glad the Feather Blades are working well for you Chris. Some shavers only use Feathers in mild razors to tame the blade. Others have used them regardless of the aggressiveness of the razor. Personally, I have used then in my Mùhle R102 (R41) and my shavettes and found them so sharp that I didn't feel the cut. Good technique is very important when using those blades. Also, you may have good technique, but certain razor/blade combinations with a Feather may not always work with your skin and beard type. On that note, enjoy experimenting with the Feathers. Enjoy your day!
