In keeping with this month's theme, I picked my Dovo shavette. This was my first open blade razor that helped me develop my straight shaving skills. I will always have a special bond with this razor. I am continuing with my quest to deep-six Stirling Intrepid Man and I figure that I may have 10 to 15 shaves to go. I really enjoy bowl lathering now that I have improved on my technique. Here is today's lather:



I did 2 passes with slight touchups for a BBS shave. A weep by my mouth corner appeared after the shave was done. I guess it's my turn to get the latent micro weep just like Joe @JACarbone did. Lol! Rather have a micro weep than be known as Scarface. Lol! Alum feedback was significant because I really shaved super close. Splashed on the PC Classic aftershave and I felt the burn. However, I am clean and refreshed. I took my time doing this shave and it was definitely a relaxing session. Take care.

 

Look what I found at a local antique/ fleamall today.

A bag of razors for $10.00 and a 1921 old type for $7.00...it was 30% off.

There is some great little Schicks in the group. They just need a spa treatment and put back into service.

 

At around 7:30 this morning, I WOKE up.

Danny, you always have these excursions fall in your lap. I am not surprised that you keep getting great scores. It is simply amazing at the frequency of getting shaving stuff.

Shaving Recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/ Dove Men+Care Clean Comfort Body + Face Wash.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face & head.
Pears Original Transparent Bar Soap.
Brush: Yaqi Sagrada Familia 24mm Synthetic.
Face & Head lather.
Lather: Eco Warrior Bergamot and Lime shaving Bar.
Razor: 1940's Thin Handle Gillette Flat Bottom Tech. (ENG) - Dorco Prime Platinum. (D1)
Razor: Kanzy K100. (Head/Dome)- Dorco Prime Platinum. (D2.)

Post:
Cold water face & head wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face & Head Rinse./Alum Rub. /Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.3 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./ Yelken Lemon Eau De Cologne./ Aloe Vera Gel.

(Face & Head Shave)

A new shave set up to start the weekend....

Both the 40's Gillette Tech & Kanzy K100 paired up wonderfully with the Dorco Prime Platinum. I will be using both the Kanzy K100 & the Baili BD 191 for my head/dome shave throughout the month the curvature on the top cap & closed head design on both razors have the same head and are wonderful for head shaving giving extra protection of catching my ear lobes from the blade ends when shaving.

Another enjoyable close comfortable face and head shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Aloe Vera Gel.

My face & precious swede are feeling cool smooth, & smelling divine.

Beautiful shave and setup Barry. I recently received Dorco blades that came along with my One Blade MicroTouch razor from a gym buddy. Although these blades are a hit or miss, I am looking forward to trying them. Enjoy your afternoon.
