The British Leather soap reminds me of my very first Stoylin, which was Barbershop. The inside looked to me like FOOD(tunafish or cole slaw)not shaving soap. I felt I'd better place a call to Doc Ezlovan for an explanation. That's how I learned about tallow shave soap. In so many words, the Doc just said "Aaaaah, it'a all right. Just go ahead and shave, you'll see. " I did, and thankfully, I did.

Yes that's exactly what I thought when I got this from overseas, I thought it may have melted in transport, but nope, it's the way it is. I like and look forward to trying the other samples I have.

Since I've been getting so many requests these days from artisans wanting me to review their soaps(you know about Fine, now Pasteur's Pharmacy and Zingari Man jumped into the act)I'd better do as they ask. I finished(for now)the Zingari Man set(ZM soap with Stoylin Coniferous A.S.). Except for one glitch the shve was great. What was the glitch. A cut in the middle of S. Porcupine Alley(chin)that began small, but then got redder and redder. Nice work everywhere else. 2 passes.I do like Doc Ezlovan's Coniferous A.S., which neautralized the cut to now look like a polka-dot. Could be an all year A.S. We shall see about that. Very happy in the end. Super Duper Outstanding.

Had a fine 2.5 pass shave that produced a beautifully smooth shave. I didn't bowl lather because I had bits and pieces of soap on the side wall and on the bottom of the tub as well as a small lump in the middle as well. I figure it would be easier to use up the soap by lathering in the tub. I have to say mission accomplished. Intrepid Man shave soap is gone. I finally used up my five 1 oz Stirling Samples. I only have two 5.8 Stirling tubs in my den. The Spice and Tsuka. At one time, I had a total of 11 tubs. Anyway, had some alum feedback on my neck. There wasn't any blood loss as well. Splashed on the Frankincense and Myrrh AS to complete the session. I have tried 17 Stirling scents and my top 5 are: Satsuma, Piacenza, Spice, Tsuka and Christmas Eve. My 3 honorable mentions are: Barbershop, Bay Rum and Coconut Lime. Take care.
