    June 16 Birthday Shave

    Good Morning.

    1968 Gillette Slim Adjustable (6)

    Stirling Spice SS and AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Beard Growth: 19 hrs

I usually don't shave with an under 20 hr stubble, but it's my birthday so
I can do whatever I want. Lol. Anyway, I decided to go for an easy and relaxing shave with the Gillette Slim Adjustable and a fresh Wilkinson Sword DE Blade. Since it's my special day, I picked out the Stirling Spice because the scent is just marvelous. The Stirling lather is always a creamy and slick. @ChrisB, I used a badger brush to bowl lather the soap so that you can see it's possible to get a nice lather using a natural brush.

Did a 3 pass error-free shave that gave me a BBS result. The alum feedback was slight. Applied the matching aftershave to end this morning's session. Headed to the gym for a cardio session. Meeting a friend for lunch at my favorite Itallian restaurant. This evening, I will be going to an outdoor concert. If the weather doesn't hold up, then it will be inside. I'm 68 and feeling great. I thank the good Lord for my excellent health. Honestly, I think my brain is in denial. It's telling me that I am 48. Lol! Have a great day everyone!

Fine shave this morning. I don't have a "Same As Yesterday With Some Different Products" rubberstamp. I couldn't solve those nasty cuts on each side of Porcupine Alley, in fact I made them worse. No need to call 911 for help though. At least I got rid of the "ugliness" persuasion with help from the cold water rinse and the cold Osage Rub aftershave. 2 passes. 2 cuts, no Knicks&Polka-dots. I say 2 cuts because as I said I made the "originals" worse. Interesting combination I had-the Bay Rum soap and the Osage. A barbershop shave. Nice job everywhere but the cuts on Porcupine. Most Excellent.

I've seen that JM Fraser before. I'm glad Mr. J.M. says it's OK to use a brush. I had the Clubman "brushless"" cream and I could never scoop out just the right amount.

You could always try wrapping a small amount of tin foil around the stick once it dries out, with your stick holder it shouldn't retard or cause any problems anyway, if anything the stick may lose its scent slightly which isn't a major issue.

Hello Chris.find a mens shave kit on ebay.they are usually cheap as chips.then you have a container for your shave sticks.this is one i picked up from ebay uk a couple of years back.this is late 1940s.the 1950s/60s ones with aluminum techs are usually really inexpensive.:):eatdrink047:
