I have been very pleased with the shaves using the MdC. Nothing really to add.
Wednesday, June 14 AoS Lemon~~Simpson PL8~~Feather DX/Professional~~Avon Premiere Luxe Oud Day Ten. Used some gear that has been ignored. The Feather DX is daunting. No room for user error. My biggest challenge is the chin with straights and AC razors. The AoS is steadily disappearing. It'll not make the end of the month. Finished with a sleeper stank. The Avon, yes---Avon is outstanding.
I recently completed a survey for Mk II Watches and won 2nd prize in their drawing: "Mk II Stingray II, Keroman, Date, Dive Inlay-Acrylic." Design is inspired from an early 1950s dive watch. I'll order a black strap to go with the supplied khaki strap. What a coincidence! I needed another watch. It don't count steps, it don't measure heart rate, and it don't have no Blue Teeth. It reports the time and date, ticks, swims, and oh yeah, it has lume. It also qualifies as one of the very few watches on earth that @Keithmax doesn't own.

Thursday, June 15 AoS Lemon~~Hucklaration B5~~Gillette #44/Wilkinson Chromium~~Vintage Givenchy Gentleman Day Eleven. This is a French Market/Made in England #44. I got it NOS and while it's pretty, it's also not my favorite tool. The Light Brigade was mediocre. Weird, because they are usually fantastic. Maybe the whole thing was user-error... I stank good, however.
Day 3 I switched up the splash to another Fougere. It does quite well with the Brut dupe. The Hawk Jaws? That I’m not so sure about.
Thanks Jason. As it turns out, the Stingray and your SARB share the same movement. Seiko sells unbranded movements to other watch manufacturers. It should be a workhorse.
I've also heard that the movements in some Heimdallr automatics are unbranded Seikos as well. You know far, far more than me though and probably already know the correct answer to that.
My assessment of this OC Stainless 'Jaws' Hawk is that it is an efficient shaver that is quite rough feeling. I say rough 'feeling' as I don't believe I've ever cut myself with it or even had a significant weeper. Nor do I get skin irritation from it. It just isn't smooth for me. I have no idea if that is just because it is the Jaws model or not. I had the original aluminum Blackhawk and it wasn't this rough feeling, although it was too light. Coles notes? A well-built, effective tool that just isn't a pleasure to use.
Saturday, June 17 AoS Lemon~~Rubberset 400/3~~Cooper MonoBilt/Wilkinson Chromium~~Tom Ford Tuscan Leather Day Twelve The soap is still performing well. The donut hole is ever-expanding. Love the MonoBilt. Paired with a Light Brigade and you have darn-near the perfect combination. Stank juice-extraordinaire.
Sunday, June 18 AoS Lemon~~Simpson M7~~USA Pre-War Tech/Wilkinson Chromium~~Agua Lavanda Puig Day Thirteen A nice, clean-scented shave experience. The Light Brigade is still performing well. The Gillette Tech held the blade securely. Great results. Happy Father's Day!
