Excellent shave Joe. Again thanks for the soap. As I previously mentioned, it has a mild barbershop scent and it does produce a nice lather. I dislike dreary Long Island days.

thank you Joe.it's been in the family since near new.my dad got it around 1990.it's a 1983 240 turbo, with factory intercooler and turbo + kit.originally an automatic,i got it around 2011ish with over 500,00 miles on it and converted it to a stick, new engine, rebuilt all the suspension etc, lots of big bars, braces, bilstien shocks, lowered springs etc..with a few horsepower tweaks it's a sinister sleeper.;),lots of fun to drive in the city..mind you,it's quite outdated by today's standards.even lawnmowers do 120 these days..:D:eatdrink047:

    Good evening.

    Straight Razor Shave #463
    6/8 Ralf Aust
    Omega Pro 49 Boar Btush
    Cella SS
    Stirling Frankincense and Myrrh AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Beard Growth: 25.5 hrs

I went for one of my Aust straights that I previously used because I kept it in bathroom draw and didn't put it away in my usual spot. It was in a box (coffin) so I didn't have to worry about rust spots. Anyway, it is quite sharp and it performed well for this shave. I picked Cella because it gives a great, slick lather as you can see here in my pic below:

    20230622_175702.jpg

I made more than enough lather that I did 3 passes instead of my usual two. I took my time because I was in the mood for a nice, slow and relaxing shave. I ended with an errorless BBS shave. Some how my face got younger. Lol! Anyway, the alum feedback was there, but it was not a terrible sensation. I used the Stirling Frankincense and Myrrh aftershave because I want to get rid of it. I will only pair it with, Cella, Arko and Van der Hagen soaps because the first two have lost their scent and VdH soap is mildly scented that I can use any aftershave with it. Take care.
