  1. for future reference for those interested..
this razor was one i passed along some 4 years ago,it's the 1948-50 version.i had originally kept the 1946-7 version as it's an earlier design head,is smoother and very efficient.however,i recently passed that one along as well to a fine member on the forum.i got a fabulous shave today with this razor, but it did feel a bit rough in comparison to my brit aristocrat versions of the same era.i can only account it to the thin stamped head/baseplate.i found this as well with the 1949 Executive.the thicker flat British baseplate is heavier and feels smoother shave wise imo.the gold'crat was more audible,it's a gorgeous looking razor design and the similar president/diplomat are all fine looking sets.it's too bad i got a bit spoiled with the brit ones..;):eatdrink047:

    Good afternoon.

MrEE Tuxedo Brush Stirling Spice SS,AS and EdT

I am going out this evening so I picked this setup for this shave. Stirling Spice is a dupe on Old Spice and it is in the ballpark, but I would say it's in the upper deck by the right field foul pole. It still is on of my favorite Stirling scents. Back 5o bowl lathering after a 1 day respite from it. Here it is:

I made enough lather that I did a 3 pass shave. I received a BBS result without any irritation or blood shed. I washed my face with a 4th lather pass just to soak in that wonderful scent and to prevent wasting the lather. The alum feedback was minimal. Splashed and Sprayed on the AS and the EdT, respectively. I was more reserved with the EdT application. Take care.

  14. Any of you guys seen an old Gillette 50s ball end razor in the wild? Thinking about going antiquing tomorrow and if I’m lucky maybe I’ll run across a gold one.

  16. should be pretty easy to find, quite common i imagine.watch for weird corrosion on some early 50's ones as they weren't brass caps due to Korean was brass shortages.
