Great value and shaver in a 316 S/S razor I will start by saying I have a collection of high quality and mid quality S/S razors and quite a collection of vintage Gillette razors that I have acquired over my years of wet shaving. For me I like more the mild mid shavers to use Gillettes as an example such as Techs and Super Speeds also the Slim at the lower settings such as #3 no more than #4. The (West Coast Shaving) WCS American Liberty S/S razor was a gift from my wife because of the American flag engraving and look. I was totally surprised at how well this razor shaved mild enough for most beginners to learn to manage but it has more than enough blade feel and aggression/efficiency to satisfy most daily shave guys. It gave me a fine BBS shave with little effort and will be one in my list of shavers I use daily. In Summary, The fit and finish is more than solid a machined CNC matt finish not fancy. Nothing more than you need here a solid 316 S/S razor that shaves great that will last a lifetime with a Charcoal Goods designed head for WCS / CNC machined by someone else with a 1.5 mm or. 0591 inch blade gap. Weight of handle 80g/weight of razor 112g/ length of handle 89mm or 3.5”. To bad Charcoal Goods has gone out of business but one of there head designs will live on in this razor by WCS. Give this razor a try if you’re on the fence and like the patriotic look of the razor. I do think most shavers will appreciate and like this nicely valued offering in a 316 S/S razor at $145.00 current price. Happy Shaves To Everyone, Bill G
Head designed by Charcoal Goods for West Coast Shaving. Charcoal Goods is now out of business. Unfortunately the razor is CNC machined in China for West Coast Shaving to their specific specs. I did not know this when I got the razor but ran across an article on the web where WCS explained it to a customer in a return Email that they had ask the same question about the razor. Happy Shaves, Bill G
