Well, guys, I jiust made my first Kent order-a nice looking hairbrush(1/3 off was the sale). 25 pounds, so I'm not sure what that is in American currency. But it's a good brush-more "manly" than what I now have.
June 29 SOTA Good afternoon. Schick E-3 Ted Pella Injector Blade (7?) MrEE Tuxedo Brush Soap Commander Honor SS Fine Accoutrements Platinum AS Stirling Alum Block Beard Growth: 24 hrs I decided to take out my most aggressive Schick Injector Razor for this afternoon's shave. I picked out Soap Commander Honor because I haven't used it in a long time. In fact, my records indicate that it was a year ago yesterday that I used this sample piffed to me by Joe C. @JACarbone Thanks Joe. It is a very slick soap that lathers quite easily as you can see below: This is a dark barbershop scent. I tend to like the sweet scents while my friend down the road tends to be on the other end of the spectrum. Anyway, the soap performed well. I made enough for more than 3 passes which I ended up doing. Did get a tiny weep on my chin, but the alum took care of it lickety-split. Did get some decent feedback on my neck. Ended with a BBS result. I decided to use the Fine Accoutrements Platinum aftershave because it's a masculine barbershop scent and I figured that it would complement the Soap Commander Honor soap. It did. Have a great rest of the day.
Thanks Gary. That brush does stand out. I miss Evan @MrEE and I also miss Andrew @Linuxguile. They haven't been on this forum in a very long time. I pray that they are ok.
DE Shave # 465 - Mediterranean (Malta) Theme Shave # 1 Rating: 5 / 5 Razor: PAA Prismatic Blade: Gillette Silver Blue Brush: Ever Ready 200T Lather: Stirling Piacenza Aftershave: Stirling Piacenza Additional Care: Omega Alum Stirling Piacenza EdT A nice change of pace from the Pre de Provence No. 63. I decided to continue with the face lather routine, at least for the first shave here, just to acclimate myself to the hardness of the water here. The Stirling lather did not disappoint. I loaded the brush in the tin of the Stirling sample for about 25 seconds. Applied to my wet face working the lather with periodic additions of water droplets. Each subsequent application of the soap to the face involved the same procedure, soapy brush to face, swirled around and then add a few droplets and repeat. The end result of each pass was a slick surface for the blade to glide on. Three pass to shave Nirvana. Post shave with the alum was silent and the scent of the splash and EdT rounded out this shave nicely. Below is the view from our hotel in St. Julian looking out on the Mediterranean. Hope you all have a great day gentlemen.
We are Barry. Arrived in Malta late last night as our flight was delayed an hour or so. No big deal. Have you ever holidayed in Malta?
