it did this morning! Very happy with this so far

 

you're aware these populars' open differently than other tto razors?you hold the knob and spin the razor and they will open more like the later ones.

 

here is a close up, they always look worse this way!

very cool,i am currently waiting on this one.1953 i believe,canadian model ,which is quite rare here compared to the u.s ones.the brits never had a gold tech as far as i know.i prefer nickel plate for the extra durability.

 

My shave this morning was with my 1952 Gillette Super Speed. I received a birth year razor (1953), also a Super Speed, and loved it so much I bought this as a backup.

 

very cool.it appears to be the slim head version .nice shaver.

 

It's wonderful ... the smoothest razor I have.

 

have you placed it side by side with your older ones?
