    July 15 SOTA

    Good afternoon.

    Gillette Heritage DE Razor
Gillette Platinum DE Blade (9, 10
    Omega Pro 49 Boar Brush
    Arko SS
    Pinaud-Clubman Classic AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Beard Growth: 1 day
    Dome Turf: 3 days.

Ok, I picked the Heritage Razor as my one item to be used for this week of shaves. It's an easy, mild razor that consistently has given me great shaves. I decided to use Arko and it finally gave up the ghost. Thanks Arko for always giving me great lathers that contributed to great shaves. Here's my lather:

    20230715_162801.jpg

Did 3 passes on my face and head that resulted in error-free BBS shave.
The only alum feedback was on the back of my head, but it was slight. Splashed on that Pinaud-Clubman Classic goodness and I am ready for this evening. Take care.

Thank you Joe, I must be a bit off balance lately, Lol! There is always tomorrow!

Great shave and cool score Gary. Nice set.

Lovely Joe, it sounds as if you are saying "Good-bye" to Arko permanently, c'est vrai?

Thanks Chris. I liked Arko very much. Will I get it again? I would say most likely. However, it will be awhile because I want to decrease my inventory considerably. I don't want to have 20 different soaps at age 75. Lol! Seriously, there are other soaps that I have never tried and I do want to get some more Stirling soaps. I still have at least an 80% full tub of Cella that is just as slick as Arko. Presently, I am not looking to add any more soap until late next year at the earliest.

Oh well, if you run out I have a few Derby sticks lying around!Lol!
Wonder why I have accumulated so much stuff in such a short period of time...?
I think that maybe sample soaps are the way to go in future.
    Or more will-power, shrug?

Nice pic and set up Barry.
I have seen this soap in a local Body Shop, and looked at it because of good reports about it. I wasn't impressed with its scent (or perhaps lack of scent) and decided to pass. Tempted (influenced?) to try this based on your comments above, but honestly like so many others, I have enough soaps and croaps for a while.;)

Thank you Chris... The body shop maca root & aloe is a firm favourite of mine, however it's scent is very subjective (love/hate) for some people. I personally like it. It's shaving performance & post shave feel is second to none, but like your good self I have enough soaps, creams croaps too due to impulsive buying urges. My humble advice is to enjoy appreciate, and use up your remaining shaving assortments before you move on to the Body shop maca root..it'll be on offer when you're ready to purchase it...Having too much of something isn't always a good thing as we don't have the time to use appreciate, and get enjoyment from it. "I've got what I need, not I want & see to keep my shaving buying urges at bay until I really need more shaving assortments. Take care. Yours- Barry :happy088:

Fine shave Chris! Feathers usually are only good for 3-4 shaves. They are great blades, but they are expensive even if one gets 10 shaves per blade.
