  7. Hi all!
    Had a moment to post.

I never have got to like shaving but, I do love the feeling of a good shave.
Still using my favorite razor / blade combo.
Head and face shave daily, as always.
Well, sometimes I skip a Saturday.
Hope all is well, not having time to read all the posts.

    Enjoy!

  8. I was thinking about you the other day. Glad you're OK, Terry. Take care.

  9. Super, Joe, Menthol to the rescue! Gotta remember that when I get to try that soap!

:signs011:, but sounds like you know each other well enough!

  10. 19 Jul 2023: Mid-week shave

48 hours stubble: time to try the OC slant again
    6AM pre work shave

    19 Jul 2023 1200-90 BB.jpg

    Prep = my usual
Cream = Tabac in a tube, bowl lathering
Brush = Omega Black Hi-brush synthetic
Razor = Lo Storto OC slant Fatip
Blade = Gillette Rubie (2) after some fiddling managed to align this nicely
2 Passes, each pass including WTG and XTG both ways
    Minor touch ups
Post = usual clean + alum + Thayers + Proraso green Rinfrescante
Scent = Guerlain Pour Homme EdP

Satisfying result, no damage, some minor remaining turf leftover for another day…
    9/10 ! not too shabby

This razor is quite manageable, not one of my favourites, still undecided if I will come back to it from time to time or find another home for it in due course.
However, I might stick with the Rubie blades for a while, binned this one after Day 2. That seems to be my sweet spot

Hope you are all having a lovely Wednesday
  11. We have been meeting for breakfast once a month for the last 3 years.

  15. Great way to close out the trifecta of Stoylin Sheep soap and Osage Rub. Nice and clean alongside the cheeks&sideburns and Cactus Nation. I had an "uh-oh" at North Porcupine Alley, but I suppose that was to be expected, given recent shaves there. South was good. Careful along the jawline. Then the Osage....YEEEEOWWWW that was good in this heatbed. 2 passes. Halston cologne for the finish. Very happy. As Outstanding As It Gets.
  16. Super shave Gary. Evan's brush looks great. Enjoy your day.

  17. I'll credit the "Smell Like A Man" message on the shave tube, but as we know, I call the current Old Spice products "NEW SPICE".
  18. Thanks Joe, it lathers quite easily and quickly, gave me good slickness and I do like the scent. I will keep this in my rotation.

    Thanks Gary.
