  2. As always, a terrific shave Barry. Imo, synthetic brushes are great lather makers. It doesn't matter if you face or bowl lather, they just flat out perform well. Enjoy your afternoon.
  3. thank you Joe.;):eatdrink047:

  8. Thank you Joe...I agree with you wholeheartedly with your opinion on synthetic brushes..They are great lather makers. However, I still have a soft spot for my humble boar brushes...Have a great day.
  9. One of my soaps now has its label removed-I THINK it's the Razorock Tuscan Oud. Smells like it, anyway.

  10. A real nice Throwback Thursday shave this morning. At the beginning, I didn't think it would be that good, as I had trouble lathering the Lime Burst. I'll blame the Clubman Pinaud brush for that. Me? Naaaah. But surprisingly the razor was ONE with my face and neck. Very well done all over. 2 passes. The Gabels A.S. was refreshing to splash on. It's the coolest of my Gabels. By coolest, I mean,, weather-wise, not groovy, far-out. Zero cuts, one Knick(which was neutralized by the Gabels), no polka-dots. Super Duper Outstanding.
  11. fine shave Paul.
  12. Thank you Gary.....maybe in 200 years Clubman will come out with a brush much larger(like many synthetic we now see). But I was pleased in the end.
  13. Yeah, people know each other here....(HAAAAAH....long lung breath).
  14. Thanks Joe, a no shave day for me today, planning another Rubie day tomorrow...

  15. July 20 SOTA

    Good afternoon.

    Gillette Heritage Razor
Gillette Wilkinson Sword DE Blade (6)
    MrEE LE #10 Cashmere Brush
    Van der Hagen Select SS
    Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Beard Growth: 23 hrs

I decided to pick the Van der Hagen soap and the AQ Ice Blue AS because they are very lightly scented. I am going to a coffeehouse that's showing a Christian movie and it's a frag free venue because there are people that are allergic to scents. By the time I get there these scents will have run it's course.
Anyway, I have the VdH soap in my apothecary mug. I like the mug because it has posts to keep the puck stationary. Here's today's lather:

Did a 3 passer for a nice, close and comfortable shave. Alum gave me some feedback. Splashed on the AV Ice Blue to end this relaxing shave. Take care.
  16. Usually I take the Orient Pt ferry but today PJ. Orient was to expensive. Thank you Joe

  18. The Orient Pt Ferry to New London has always been expensive. Besides, Port Jefferson Ferry to Bridgeport is closer to home. The only downside is that you have to deal with the Connecticut Tpke (I-95).
