    Greetings,

    Another new eclectic shave set up to start the weekend...It's been some time since i last used the Pearlman Shaver's spirit soap which is a excellent shaving soap... It's very slick, protective with a fresh mild masculine "old Spice" fragrance to my nose which lingers throughout the shave and beyond creating a wonderful lather in a short space of time leaving a good post shave feel.

    Another close comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Cien Sensitive ASB.

    My face & precious swede are feeling smooth cool and smelling divine. ;)

    Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen. :cool:

    27 hours growth
    Prep = usual
    Cream = TOBS Jermyn street collection
    Brush = plissoft synthetic
    Bowl = Timeless, bowl lathering for better control
    Razor = Razorock lupo, Brass handle
    Blade = Gillette Rubie (2) still nice and smooth
    2 passes + touch ups
    Was planning a 3rd pass, phone rang, after that I decided I didn’t need any more

    All good despite the abbreviated shave
    Post = Cold water rinse, Brut ASL, Proraso balm

    My thoughts on the Razorock Lupo
    • I like that there is no overhang of the blade tab, meaning that there are no worries about getting under the nose and the earlobes
    • I like that the handle is solid, not hollow, so no water dripping out the bottom and down my forearms!
    • I don’t like that the lather is difficult to rinse out between the blade and the baseplate, tends to clog up a bit
    Still, I will keep this combo, it is a nice shaver

    Have a great Saturday and Sunday!

    Terrific TOBS shave Chris. I have never used TOBS. With that said, is it possible that you didn't have enough hydration causing the clogging of the razor?

    Hi Joe. Thanks. Anything is possible, but my lather was almost runny esp on the 2nd pass. It should still be easy to rinse the razor in the basin or under running water, and usually is with my Merkurs or Gillettes. Still worth trying when using this with other soaps etc. Its still early days with this razor, but I do like it.

    Shavette Shave # 205

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: RenRen Shavette
    Blade: Perma-Sharp (1)
    Brush: Ever Ready 200T
    Lather: Stache Soap Works E Barber
    Aftershave: Stirling Lemon Chill - Glacial
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel

    Excellent travel day shave. Last night Mother Nature decided to drop a monsoon on Fenway Park during the bottom of the 4th inning which eventually leading the game to be suspended until 2pm this afternoon. Unfortunately, due to dog care concerns we could not stay for the game. Otherwise we had a nice trip to Boston. It was nice to see my nephew. We forwarded to him the tickets so hopefully he is able to go today.

    I did my usual three pass shave. The shave stick with the Stache Soap Works E Barber soap produced a nice slick lather. Most noticeable was the difference in face feel throughout the shave compared to yesterday’s shave with the Arko. Both are slick however I did not have any of the skin drying issue with the E Barber.

    Hope you all have a great day.
