    I don't remember the name, but of course, if I heard it then I would recognize it. I remember when you got it Terry. I will look in the archives.

    @Trigger
    Thanks Joe!
    Gary @brit might have called it blade on a stick, I see it as blood on a stick ;)

    @Terry
    Looking back through TSD....
    It's there all right...
    Pretty scary looking...
    Neanderthal in design perhaps, but in them days they had no safety bars, I s'pose that's all a man needs

    Thanks for this lesson Terry, worth reading again << link here

    Well I started this quest years ago.
    I used a bic single blade for years, but as time went on it pulled the hairs out rather than cut them off. I still have a bunch of those lying around but of no use. The multi blade razors always pulled and tugged my beard since I was in my early 20s so they were out.

    Then in frustration I searched the internet for possible solution. I came upon a post from an older gentleman that explained as he got older and grayer his beard got tougher. His cure was a DE razor with a feather blade, used the blade only once. He finally got the shave that was clean and comfortable.
    Now I didn't a start out using the gear I use now. Months and months went by getting different razors from 1899 to present shaving dozen upon dozens of different blades.
    Landing here where there are more experienced shavers that are willing to share experiences and suggestions freely and with no angst to others.
    I shaved every day, once in a while twice a day. I got involved in a pass around a few times and the razor tom and @Trigger designed landed at my house.
    Finally shave nirvana. I used it everyday both head and face with a new feather blade each time right out of the gate. I had already got the "ride the cap" technique down pat so that was easy for me.
    I aperently describe my experiences with it here that they gifted it to me.
    My shaving world changed forever.
    I'm only afraid of dropping it or breaking it by accident seeing how it's my go to razor and such.
    I've used Tom's razor for a long time and always great results.
    I occasionally grab one of my other tools, MMOC, Yaqi Helmut or other efficient tools from my collection of razors just for fun.
    I always return to this one, the best shave I've ever got.

    For a guy that passionately hates shaving like I do, uses a razor that looks like more of a torcher device than a modern razor.
    Then add a new feather blade to boot.
    Well.....:signs002:

    Thanks to all here at the shave den 30 day rule and focus group for my shaving development. This group helped lead me through my quest. I would have never learned this without you all.

    So that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

    Enjoy!

    Excellent recap of your shave journey. I am just wondering what our resident “Simon Barsinister”, @Trigger, did in the development process?
