I love this hot weather that we are having on Long Island. I broke my personal record of using Cryogen soap a lot in such a short window of time. I am not complaining.
Anyway, I brought out my cheapest razor in my den and I still got a very nice, close and comfortable shave without any blood leaving my body. It's a miracle because I am using a cheapo blade that came with this razor for the seventh time. I binned it after the shave. Why press my luck? The blades didn't cost me anything. Lol! Here's my lather:

My alum gave me a little feedback on my neck, but that was it. I broke open my new bottle of AV Ice Blue aftershave that I bought last night. What a cool feeling I got on top of the menthol remnants from the soap. I feel refreshed and smooth. Take care.

The other day, my health insurance contacted me to see if I wanted a home test kit for colorectal cancer. I said fine. The last time I had a test was over 25 yrs ago. I had a flexible colonoscopy back then, and there weren't any issues. I completed the kit and mailed it today. I should know about the findings next week. I don't expect them to find anything because I don't have any tell-tale symptoms. However, one never knows until the results come and the certainty is most assured. I am sharing this because I don't go to doctors unless I need to do so. However, I do believe pre-screenings are important. That's my PSA for today.

Thanks Gary. It was my very first badger. It helped me learned the nuances of lathering with a lather hog.

    Greetings,

    Early morning shave.

A Great shave to finish my shaving week off wonderfully.

My recent run with the Personna Comfort Coated paired up with Parker 24C has been absolutely fantastic!

The love/hate classic Williams Mug shaving soap yet again provided me an slick acceptable lather for the shave leaving a wonderful post shave feel. The Spanish version of the Williams Aqua Velva ASL has became one of my favourite post shave applications....Superb stuff!

A comfortable 2 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Fresh Moisturising Gel.

My face is feeling cool smooth & smelling divine. ;)

Keep safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.

24 hours, late afternoon shave in Preparation for early morning start tomorrow

    Usual prep
Cella, Omega 11137 bristle, Timeless bowl

New blade = Personna Stainless steel (red), looks nice, no glue dots, felt very rough though ::: made in Germany is that good or bad…my other German made blades did not impress e.g. Merkur super platinum

Gillette Slim: Starting at #4 and ending at #1

3 passes were needed with tentative touch ups for this scratchy shave.

Lather initially a bit thick and draggy, thinned it down, maybe too much, not getting the protection my skin needs

More stragglers left behind than usual, one self healing weeper left top lip (ATG here not usually a problem with my other setups)

ASL = Brut ASL, trying to use this one up afap (as fast as possible)

    7/10 only today.

My best shaves are in the morning, > 24 hours growth, tallow and with Gillette products….

Still I may try the Cella again but with different hardware, but not until the weekend

Have a great day all, looking forward to doing better over the weekend.

Chris, I am surprised that you're not getting a very good lather with Ceĺla. I have never tried Personna Reds so I can't comment on their quality. Take care.

Hi Joe, me too, next time I will load from the tub and not place some in the bowl. Interesting how every variable needs a different technique and mindset.
