Day Twelve
My favorite beehive, the Vie-Long. It has a three-band silver tip knot, which is a soft as it gets---without being chemically treated.
The bleached badgers hairs, while admittedly beautiful, make the knot "feel" artificial.
The Klar is being used up steadily, as is the Royall Lyme. (Hope I don't get Lyme disease) ​

I think I did, but ....well, I have to go back to their e-mails to see if they told me that. But thanks for encouraging me .

Weekends are too short. I feel that they should be at least 3 days long. My journey with the SV FA soap continues. Another fantastic shave to start the day.



July 2023 Recap



Another month in the books. I did manage to finish the MdC Fougere early in the month and moved to the SV Felce Aromatica. The Aromatica had approximately 100 grams remaining at the beginning. After this morning's shave, there is roughly 60 grams remaining. At the current pace, I think I will finish this soap in August. As always the friendship and courtesy of this thread were the highlight of the month. Take care everyone.​

Joseph, I am sitting here in the office completely unmotivated. I feel like I could use a nap and its not even 10am

Been at work since 5:20...
My day's over half-over.

Wow! You were at work before Greyson and I went for our morning walk. I think I will work in the office until lunch and then work remotely from home this afternoon.

I've been working this early job for about 16 months. Monday mornings are the worst. Alarm goes off at 4:30.

I found a new soap co. to try, maybe next year.345 Soap Co. Based in northern Colorado. I didn't care for the goofy video guy, there must be more vidoes though. Family owned, Similar to Hub City(Texas)in that persuasion. Anyone tried this?

@clint64 , thank you for giving my post a "like". I wonder if these guys will soon compete with that soap your wife gave you but you didn't like...Rocky Mtn. Soaps(or whatever it is). Right away 345 looks better due to more variety than Rocky Mtn.

Oh she did, huh? I flipped mine, as I am not much for the concept of "Shaving Soap Creams". I'm a shaving SOAP freak.

I give up. Lost count.
I am using the Klar 'til it aint no mo.
The mistura knot on this Semogue hit a homer with some sumptuous suds.

Thought I was grabbing my Wosty Pipe razor, but ended up with my Boker Hollow.
Great shave. Chin work...B-
No mishaps, just not as smooth as I get with my DE's.
