  2. Thank you Gary......I like this Bay Rum soap-yes, even with the clove persuasion(not much, but it's there).

  4. Another fine plan for the month, Joe! Adjustable/Arko/Artisan/Anything Goes August should provide something for everyone -- especially after Barry added "Asian" to the list....

I will mix using my Allegedly Adjustable Supply 2.0 injector (with the interchangeable plates that I never interchange) with my Actually Adjustable Delta Echo Razors refurbished Gillette SuperAdjustable. I will dig out the Arko stick again and also use some of the Artisan soaps and splashes that are languishing in my den. For example, I have some very nice sets by both Barrister & Mann and the now defunct Jeeves of Hudson Street that I have not used in far too long. I don't think I have anything Asian, but Anything Goes certainly covers everything else...

Should be a good month of shaves...

    Cella SS

    Stirling Alum Block
    Beard Growth: 23 hrs
    Dome Turf: 3 days.

What better way to start the month with a head and face shave! I decided to use my Slim Adjustable and Cella SS to do the job. Cella is very slick and that's what I needed to perform this shave.
I added menthol drops to the soap because I still want the menthol experience. Of course, it's not going to give me a Cryogen blast, but it was a nice, mild menthol sensation to satisfy me. Here's today's lather:

I did 3 passes on my face and dome for an error-free BBS shave. I must say that I did minor touchups on the dome. I had very little alum feedback so I am glad about it. Splashed on the witch hazel and that wonderful cooling AQ Ice Blue aftershave to finish this session. Take care.
  6. Thank you John for the kind words. I try to make the monthly themes so that everyone can participate. Like I mentioned earlier, looking forward to seeing what you have in your den.
  7. Another fine intro to the month Joe. I am not sure which direction I may go at this point. I know I will continue to feature the Lather Bros. Calle Ocho for many shaves as I work toward it meeting up with the Edmund Fitzgerald. Perhaps I will feature some soaps that have the letter “A” as the first letter in any part of its name. We shall see.
  8. Excellent Barry.

    SRS # 932

    Rating: 5 / 5

Razor: Wester Bros. 6/8” 33 Fraternity
    Brush: Classic Shaving Silver Blue
    Lather: Lather Bros. Calle Ocho
    Aftershave: Declaration Grooming/Chatillon Lux 1904
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Omega Alum
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

A fabulous start to the month. I will be continuing to feature the Calle Ocho for about half of the shaves this month as I am looking to finish it off by the end of September. The Wester Bros. straight easily took can of this morning’s whiskers to the delight of the missus. She just loves the smoothness.

Looking forward to many fine shaves to share this month as well as enjoying the post from the many fine gentlemen of this group.
