Awesome Alabama shave this morning. I have not used the Cella in a while and I don't know why.....it is a great soap.

    Happy Tuesday everyone!
  8. Ì agree that Cella is a good soap. Great shave Danny.

    SRS # 933

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: Frederick Reynolds 5/8”
    Brush: Satin Tip Badger
    Lather: Lather Bros. Calle Ocho
    Aftershave: Aqua Velva Musk
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

Continuing with the Calle Ocho. Another wonder amount of lather from a 1.5 gram size scoop from the tub. Perhaps I will use it again tomorrow. If not a soap that has the letter “A” in the first letter of the artisan name or soap title, (PAA, Arko, After the Rain or Agar to name a few).

The Fredrick Reynolds delivered a close shave, naturally with three passes. There weren’t any mishaps or delayed weepers. I was looking good for my adventure at Planet Fitness with my son. Don’t worry Joe, @Trigger, I did not give up my X3. Besides I just picked up the new squat belt, aka torture device, to add to my X3 routine.

Anthony expressed an interest in joining a gym, I would prefer he use the X3. As a result I had to join so he could be allowed in as a guest member. The policy requires an adult for youngsters under 14.

  14. Wonderful Wednesday shave Joe. That's great that Anthony expressed interest to join a gym. He is got muscles that I wished that I had at his age. He's on the setup station that I just can't stand. Lol! Good for him.

    Good afternoon.

    Shavette Shave #471

Gillette Wilkinson Sword 1/2 DE Blade (3)
    JR #290 Cashmere Brush
Angora Soaps Midnight Lavender SS and AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Modessa Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 24 hrs

I picked Angora Soaps Midnight Lavender because I like the scent and not because it begins with an "A". However, I will be using this puck throughout this month because I want to finally finish it so if I use it for the entire month so be it. It really does make an easy, slick and creamy lather that I need for my open blade shaves. So let it be Angora Soaps August for me. Lol! Here's today's lather:

    20230802_161604.jpg

Did a 3.5 pass shave for a very close shave, but got a tiny weep on my left sideburn. That's rate that I get one in that area.
There was some alum feedback, but nothing that was overly painful. Splashed on the witch hazel and followed with the matching aftershave. All in all, I would rate the shave an A- and I am fine with that assessment. Take care.
  18. Thank you Joe
