August 10, 2023 Blackland Vector Kai Captain Protouch MG Elite Ironwood SV Felce Aromatica Shave Soap & Aftershave Happy Thursday Everyone. Little later start this morning. I decided to wait for some early morning thunderstorms to pass through. No real issues apart from its impact on the already bad commute in Atlanta. At least, I was able to get a great shave to start the day. This brush has some serious backbone and scrub. Perhaps more frequent use would loosen up the knot some. August 11, 2023 Cobra Classic Kai Captain Protouch MG (9) Paladin SV Felce Aromatica Shave Soap & Aftershave Happy Friday Everyone. Another morning with thunderstorms rolling through. I decided to pull out a rarely used razor, the Cobra Classic. Honestly I love the way it shaves but it's so good looking I am afraid I will screw it up. This think gives a close and smooth shave. I am off to the hospital this morning. My nephew, 29 years old, is having heart surgery later today. He was born with a heart issue likely inherited from my sister. Now it requires intervention. I am in search of my next 3017 target so this week I will use some candidates soaps. The criteria are; Are further enough along that I can finish it within 50 shaves. Enjoyable enough that I don't mind using it work days, weekends and holidays I will go for some variety. It is not a soap I will feel the need to buy another, the object of my 3017 is to thin the absurd amount of spoaps in my den. I hope everyone has a wonderful and cool weekend. I used the MdC Fougère for a couple shaves this week. I added some liquid lanolin and menthol, this is an awesome soap and awesome scent... but... it fails two criteria, it will take forever to finish and I will definitely order a replacement. Today I used another favorite, PAA CK-6 formula Awesome Sauce. This one fails becasuse the tub is still more than 90% full due to my earlier 3017. This one smells like Proraso so it is a warm weather soap for me.
