1. Does anyone listen to old time radio? I have 2 favorites: Gunsmoke from the Internet Archive, and, I'm Sorry I Don't Have a Clue ( a BBC comedy series) downloaded from the interweb.

  7. I don't remember the context, but when I was a kid I remember my Dad saying "Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The shadow knows". It wasn't until I was an adult that learned where it came from. He must have been a fan in the 40's and 50's. Strange how things connect up. Cheers.

  8. There was an episode of mash where radar said the quote also... I never heard it while I was growing up because I was many generations after that. I heard it after radar mentioned it.....

  9. My father is close to ninety and still quotes "The Shadow". I was fortunate enough to grow up to have an AM radio station that played Inner Sanctum, Johny Dollar, and the Creaking Door on Saturday nights. We would be sitting in the dining room listening to it and my mother would walk in and say "Turn that off, it gives me the creeps". A which my father would reply "but Keith likes it"

  12. In our house if we watch tv it's at least 20 - 50 years old episode, but quite often we listen to records or music on the radio. It makes for a very relaxing evening.

  13. I still have a vinyl record with 2 "Shadow" episodes on it. Haven't listened to it in probably 40+ years, though. I do have a working turntable that I uses regularly, so perhaps this will make it into the rotation soon.

    Here it is: https://www.discogs.com/release/287...ogram-Bret-Morrison-Bill-Johnstone-The-Shadow

I also have an "Inner Sanctum" cassette tape.

  14. I've been listening to a lot of the following lately:

    Cannonball Adderley
    John Coltrane
    Eric Dolphy
    Sonny Rollins
    Thelonious Monk
    Miles Davis

I had never dug into Adderley and Dolphy before, and I didn't know what I was missing! Now I've been buying them on vinyl!
