Decided to reach for the New Deluxe, which I acquired from Gary several years ago now. Evan expertly replated it in Gold for me. It is a little rougher, imho, than the other NEWs I own, but still a nice shaver.
The soap focus? Still rolling along.

Happy Friday!! Now that I have done some serious den clearing, I have been making an effort to use some razors I have been neglecting. Accordingly, I have pulled out a couple of Wolfman razors for a run. This shave was more efficient than I recalled. It looks like the soap will be done within the next 7-10 days. I hope everyone has a fantastic day. ​

3.5 oz including tub. I will weight it once a week to see how much I am using.

Some people just "clean" brushes-you go the full route-(HAAAAAH, long lng breath).

 

i used a polishing kit with many ultrafine grits of paper before i set the knot.

 

Wow...an entire KIT just for s brush . Course we know how important the brush is to the shave.

 

I use this set for finishing resin brushes on the lathe. I used a few of the coarser ones when refurbishing a Rubberset 400 as well.

 

Thank you Joseph. It’s a WRH2 handle. The handle is a heavy beast.

You will get there more quickly than you think. At least it’s a great soap.

I’m down to under 10 grams. The soap has broken up into pieces so I’m going to mash it up into the swirl pattern of my lathering bowl.
