Great Throwback Thursday shave. This was my best Gillette Series Goo shave. Really smooth and clean. Goose-eggs for the cuts, Knicks, Polka-dots. One pass. My best Cactus Nation shave in a long time. The pour spout for the Royal Copenhagen A.S. is big, but still not as much as that of Aqua Velva, which is the largest pour sput I ever saw this side of California. Nice Scandinavian scent for R.C. Finished with Passion 4 Men colgne(House of Elizabeth Taylor). Even though there is a lot left, I'm having trouble squeezing it out. As Outstanding As It Gets. *

kudos to @brit and @Primotenore for correecting me on the origin of Gillette.

Yesterday I came across the company Col. Littletonb based in Tennesee. Leather is their ONLY product, which includes a nice-looking cologne. Again(as in Eight and Bob)too much $$$ for me.Now I see ads about CL all over my screen. That's right, big fella, throw it in my face!!!!

    good morning gents.
first drive with the aluminum coronation tech
    damn fine shave indeed
    fine palmolive lather.
though the razor is quite light it was very smooth.
i have heard/read that the brit aluminum techs had a larger blade exposure than their brass counterparts.
they were only made for a couple of years during this era.(1953-5)
aluminum was an exotic metal during '50s britain.
    awesome
    have a fine day everyone.

    Good afternoon.

Gillette Wilkinson Sword 1/2 DE Blade (fresh)

    Modessa Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 24 hrs.

I finally decided to try this soap that Joe @JACarbone piffed to me awhile ago. I am not really into dark scents, but this scent was a pleasant surprise. The notes are Vetiver, Cedar, Frankincense and Musk and although it is a dark scent, I found the Frankincense with its sweet and earthy scent rounded it out well. Of course, the Stirling Frankincense and Myrrh AS wonderfully complemented the soap's scent. It produced a nice, creamy and slick lather as you can see by my pic.

However, it's too expensive at 35 dollars for 5 oz. That $7.00 an ounce. No thanks. I will stick to my 20 dollars and under soaps.
Also, I went with my Dovo Shavette once again, but this time, I used a new 1/2 DE Blade. You can see that the blade insert/holder is red.

A 3 pass shave with pickups gave me the same BBS result as yesterday's shave and no injuries to boot. I didn't get any alum feedback. Witch hazel and the aftershave were applied. Didn't get any alcohol burn from the aftershave. I definitely enjoyed this shave. Take care.

Razor: Drew Dick 7/8” Half Hollow Damascus
Brush: Sawdust Creation Studio Malle Burl
    Lather: PAA Sangre de Drago
    Aftershave: PAA Sangre de Drago
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

We are experiencing slightly cooler weather this morning so I decided to bring out one of my cooler weather scents. (Disclaimer: I am comfortable using it year round). The Sangre de Drago is a combination of Sandalwood and Oud. Yes Joe, @Trigger, I do like my darker scents.

The Drew Dock Damascus, my first custom straight of three in the den, delivered a comfortable smooth and irritation free shave. At the time of this posting, I am 11 hours post shave and my face still feels smooth with a nice pleasantly dark scent.

Hope you all had a great day gentlemen.
