I'm not sure how long this will last, but we'll see. 2 ML doesn't appear to be much, but quick sprays can last a while, one would think.

I decided to do a head and a face shave so I picked up my Fatboy because it's Friday. I just received Captain's Choice North soap from Pasteur's Pharmacy in NYC so I had to shave with it. I am like a kid in a candy store. Lol. The scent was very mild and I figured that it would be because this particular soap isn't made anymore and was sitting on the shelf for a few years. Also, people are allowed to open and sniff the soaps so that also may have attributed to the low fragrance. It's OK because I still get the hint of juniper. It does provide a rich, creamy lather, but it needs to be fully hydrated. Here's the lather.

Three passes were needed for my dome, but I did an unecessary third pass on my face because I was enjoying this shave. The shaves went well without a hitch. Zero feedback from the alum on all fronts. Splashed on the witch hazel and the matching aftershave. I realized that I need to shake the bottle to get the scent from the aftershave. It is stronger than the soap and that's how it should be. This set is apropos for the fall and winter, but I can use it all year round. Take care.

DE Shave # 478 - Fougere Friday Shave - Brocha

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: Jacobson FDG
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue
    Brush: Ever Ready 200T
Lather: Old Cahaba Shave Club Brocha
Aftershave: Los Jabones de Joserra Brocha
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

Another fine Fougere Friday shave. I decided to go with one of my DE’s. This razor was made and gifted to me for Father’s Day several years ago by a friend from another group, Brent Jacobson. The razor delivered a super close three pass shave.

Hope you all have had a great day.

    Great Friday shaves, gents!

I forgot about Fat / Fatboy / Fougere Friday myself! Of course, I don't have any MWF anymore, but I do have the Fatboy and Fougere covered. Oh well, maybe next week...

    Shaving Recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/Dove Men+Care Clean Comfort Body+Face Wash.

    Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face & head.
Pears with Mint Extracts Transparent Bar Soap.
Brush: AP Shave Co. 24mm Cashmere Synthetic.
    Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Home Bargains Stainless Steel Side Bowl.
Lather: The BodyShop Maca Root & Aloe Shave Cream.
    Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium. (D1)
    Razor: Kanzy K100.

    Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils + 3 Menthol Crystals, Mixed Together With 200ml of Care + Witch Hazel./Aloe Vera Cooling Gel./ Milton Lloyd Essentials No 3 EdP.

    Greetings,

A new eclectic shave set up to start the weekend.

The Kanzy K100 razor has a well-balanced weight it's closed 'tech type head' which holds the blade rigidly which blade chatter is reduced to minimum with no blade over-hang which is very comfortable to shave with additional protection of not catching my ear lobes or under my nose when shaving.

The maca root & aloe shave cream was one of the first creams I bought when I started traditional wet shaving, I didn't give it much attention to be honest at first which was very foolish on my behalf I'm now into my second tub today with a small amount it created a wonderful lather for both of my shaves I highly recommend giving this cream a try, if you haven't already, it's fragrance doesn't get top marks, but it's slickness, protection and post shave feeling are fantastically good.

Another enjoyable close comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small squirts of Milton Lloyd Essentials No 3 EdP to the pulse points.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth cool and smelling divine. ;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.
